Role Overview:

  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safe use of cranes, heavy equipment, and high-power machinery.
  • Oversee PPE compliance and equipment safety protocols.
  • Ensure EHS compliance across office and laboratory spaces.
  • Oversee ergonomics programs, chemical handling, and fire protection systems.
  • Develop and maintain evacuation plans, first aid and first response processes, and crisis management procedures.
  • Lead regular emergency drills and training sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE labor and EHS regulations, OSHA, ISO 45001, and other international standards.
  • Liaise with external authorities and auditors during inspections.
  • Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and risk assessments.
  • Identify potential risks, define mitigation strategies, and track corrective actions.
  • Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training programs.
  • Promote a proactive and accountable safety culture across all levels.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses to determine root causes.
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans, maintain EHS records, and report to leadership.
Must Haves
  • EHS Certification (NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, or equivalent).
  • Strong background in Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment.
  • Experience developing and managing Emergency Response Plans.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment, high-power machinery, and production safety practices.
  • Working knowledge of UAE labor and EHS laws, and international standards (OSHA / ISO).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
Nice to Haves
  • Experience in Aerospace or Satellite Manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with EHS management software for reporting and analytics.
  • Project Management certification or experience.
  • Lean / Six Sigma background to integrate safety into process efficiency initiatives.
  • May require occasional travel to supplier or launch sites for EHS audits and assessments (Europe / US / Gulf region).

Job Description

  • Assist in the preparation, formatting, and organization of environmental and sustainability-related reports
  • Support document control by maintaining organized records of project files and documentation
  • Develop presentation materials using Microsoft Office, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with provided content
  • Proofread content for grammar, clarity, and formatting accuracy prior to submission or presentation
  • Track and follow up on pending documents or inputs from relevant departments
  • Assist with organizing and naming electronic files according to internal documentation protocols
  • Perform general administrative and support duties as assigned by the Environmental and Sustainability Department
  • Report directly to the Environmental & Sustainability Consultant and provide timely updates on assigned tasks
Job Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of sustainability topics and interest in environmental services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions, manage time, and meet deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn in a dynamic, professional environment
