Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Director to lead our government relations efforts in the MENA region.
Represent Boeing's interests on telecommunications policy and licensing issues before government agencies, international and intergovernmental organizations, trade and industry associations within the assigned geographic area.
Support Boeing's advocacy efforts before the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT) and the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG), as well as in regional satellite and aviation-related telecommunications and radio frequency spectrum groups.
Obtain telecommunications licenses and authorizations in support of Boeing programs, products, and services, as needed.
Establish and maintain close contact with internal engineering and business leaders to understand their regulatory and policy requirements, particularly Boeing leadership in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Write concise internal memos, external regulatory filings, and presentations to internal and external executive-level audiences, explaining complex technical issues to a non-technical audience.
Work with all groups within the organization, being responsive to requests for support in a timely manner.
Work on multiple parallel issues, demonstrated English language and writing skills, and the ability to work closely with a small remote team are critical to success in this position.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of government relations experience with telecommunications or radio frequency spectrum regulatory and policy issues.
Minimum 5 years of experience working in government affairs, preferably on telecommunications, radio frequency spectrum, aviation, satellite, or defense issues.
English language proficiency (both written and spoken) is required.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
