The Role
The Equipment Mechanic maintains the equipment such as tampers, dynamic stabilizer, ballast distribution system, ballast regulators, sand removal machine, mobile flash butt welding machine, civil construction machinery, light/heavy road vehicle etc. in accordance with the manufacturer’s manuals and specifications. Responsibilities • Prioritize safety for themselves, their team members and the business customers at all times • Learn and comply with relevant department procedures and safe systems of work • Proactively ensure information regarding plant faults are communicated to line manager • Plan and executes preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs on all vehicles and related equipment • Works on site and in the workshop / depot • Works under instruction of the Equipment Foreman • Minimizes equipment downtime and delays to production • Assesses equipment reoccurring faults and provide feedback and recommendations to the foreman • Prepared and willing to support the business activities outside of normal working hours for break down response purposes.

Requirements
Academic Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree • Formal mechanical/electrical technical qualifications. Professional Capabilities • Recognized capability to maintain the above mentioned on-track and off-track vehicles and equipment. • Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostic processes. • 12/24v electric circuit diagnostics. • Trouble shooting capabilities applied to hydraulic and pneumatic systems. • Knowledge of PLC boards and electrical drawings. • Full driving license for cars and heavy goods vehicles.

  • Implement facility security programs by developing procedures/practices, distributing keys, providing building access, monitoring access records, assessing security infrastructure needs (security cameras, interlocks, alarms), and assessing and changing access schedules.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement building operations and process modifications to the facility for increased productivity and/or cost reduction and manage related budget.
  • Coordinate and monitor routine maintenance services completion (trash, utilities, custodial, pest control, long-term preservation, inspections, grounds, landscapes, alarms, systems, and equipment), suggest metrics, monitor and report related trends.
  • Identify and establish preventive maintenance plan, coordinate maintenance logistics (to avoid facility conflicts, events), initiate work requests, monitor completion.
  • Coordinate and integrate utility usage/optimization by monitoring usage, gathering information, follow-up, shutdown requirements, analyze data, and provide recommendations for optimum usage.
  • Perform condition assessments on appearance, equipment, analyze results, and provide recommendations for maintenance.
  • Ensure completion of required training and certification programs in order to keep current with job requirements and ensure continuous performance improvements.
  • Obtain timely performance review assessments from project manager on assignments after completion which will serve as input to midyear and annual performance review.
  • Adhere to job training and conduct knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks efficiently and consistently with operating procedures and policy.
  • Elevate the organization’s values and ethics in all activities within the team to support the establishment of a value-driven culture within the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Creating ServiceNow tickets in tool.
  • Asset tracking and keeping Asset repositories up to date in Traxx/Flexera/SNOW.
  • Material receipting & returning faulty hardware.
  • Conducting periodical asset audits.
  • Physical stock verification activities.
  • Lost and missing asset formalities, insurance paperwork, etc.
  • Support activity during BCP.
  • Assets Disposal, Maintaining assets inventory in tools.
  • Processing On-boarding & Offboarding Requests.
  • Asset tagging, stickers, laptop certificates, and labelling assets.
  • Tracking and tracing all IT assets.
  • Maintaining & Tracking PC Devices and Peripherals in stock.
  • Adhere to SEZ formalities.
  • Receiving deliveries and sign off.
  • Racking, Stacking and movement of devices.
  • Scanning and managing of New and Return assets.
  • Receipt computer returnsE-waste, Disposal and Wrapping of devices.
  • Monthly report

IT Skills andExperience

  • Desired Experience:
  • Computer OS/Peripherals troubleshooting
  • Handling Different PC Operating Systems ( Windows 7/8 and 10)
  • Performing Hardware Software Installation ( understanding of deployment tools like SCCM)
  • Basic knowledge of SOE and group policies
  • Printer support
  • Good knowledge of MS Office tools installation & troubleshooting
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Field experience supporting a variety of technologies and services
  • Advanced technical abilities including solid troubleshooting skills applicable to Windows, Apple, and virtual operating systems
  • Ability to manage time and resources to meet or exceed expectations in high-profile situations while maintaining professionalism under pressure

In-depth knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office applications
  • PCLaptop hardware
  • PCLaptop peripherals, including printers

Basic knowledge of:

  • Active Directory
  • Exchange
  • Apple OS
  • SCCM

IT Qualifications

At least two of the following:

  • PCLaptop OEM Maintenance Certification
  • CompTIA A+ Certification
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certification in the desktop area
  • Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Certification

Experience in a similar role

  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
