POSITION
H&H Technician
Responsible for assisting the Team Leader in all site repairs and maintenance of technical equipment/vehicles, including a good working knowledge of auto mechanics and/or heavy vehicles, as well as practical work applications. Emphasizes health and safety, environmental control, and ISO practices. Ensures all actions, maintenance, or production are completed according to managers', customers', and manufacturers' instructions.
Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities
- Assist in the movement, washing, cleaning, and preparation of vehicles in the PDC.
- Assist with any other tasks related to equipment as directed.
- Perform general cleaning and labor-related tasks.
- Assist in upgrading and modifying existing systems per OEM instructions.
- Carry out paint preparation, minor body work, and painting.
- Assist in Material Handling Equipment operations.
- Ensure safety and environmental issues are observed by other employees.
- Adhere to company values.
- Assist in inventory, stock checks, and logistics.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, work instructions, and notices.
- Accurately fill in timesheets and related paperwork.
- Assist in mechanical assembly and disassembly work under guidance.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.
- Support container stuffing and destuffing.
Job Requirements
- Good English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- UAE MHE Drivers License (Manual).
- Experience in a similar environment.
- At least two years of experience in maintenance, logistics, or product distribution (desirable).
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions (desirable).
- Proof of previous employment with good conduct.
- Satisfactory educational certificates with acceptable grades.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: The Service Engineer (Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician) will be part of the wider Engineering Service team that is responsible for attending breakdowns and carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics, servicing and repairs to a variety of electric powered access machines. Planned preventative Maintenance (PPMs) will also be a part of the daily duties. As well as being stationed at your assigned depot workshop, the Service Engineer may work outside of normal depot hours, perform repair and maintenance at clients’ sites or travel outside of assigned depot city for the occasional project at our other depot locations in the GCC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines in the depot/workshop • Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs, informing internal teams of estimated repair times • Perform routine and preventative planned maintenance (PPM) within the depot • Prepare machines for handover, ensuring they are safe, fully operational, and meet all company standards • Ensure machines are left in a safe condition after work is completed, meeting quality assurance requirements • Assist the Service Manager or Supervisor in providing verbal estimates for repairs or maintenance • Maintain appropriate stock levels within the depot to support timely servicing and repairs • Accurately complete and submit all relevant paperwork, including part requisition forms, engineer reports, off-hire documents, PDI, and service sheets • Update internal systems to reflect machine status changes (e.g., PDI completed, machine under repair, statutory inspection completed) • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard of safety, quality, and professionalism • Collaborate with internal teams to support excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and ensure correct use of uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) • Responsible for understanding and practicing appropriate safety procedures as follows: • Act as safely at work as you would elsewhere, if not more so • Use the tools available to you to maintain a safe environment • Participate in the safety training programme to educate yourself on hazards, safety practices, and rules • Communicate about unsafe practices and conditions • Always follow safety rules and regulations
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The chosen candidate will meet ALL the essential criteria below: ESSENTIAL • High school education, vocational qualification or above • Previous experience working on mobile access equipment or similar other mobile plant machinery equipment such as: - powered access equipment e.g. cherry pickers, scissor lifts, propelled booms and hoists. - diggers - drilling equipment - dumpers - excavators - forklifts - ground-care machinery - plant machinery - power generators - rollers - telehandlers • Strong track record in machine, equipment and diesel engine fault finding / diagnostics, servicing, repair and maintenance • Able to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematic drawings • Able to work to Health & Safety regulations and comply with all company policies and procedures • A valid driving license DESIRABLE: • IPAF demonstrator license • Knowledgeable of the Oman geographical area

**What will I be doing?**
A Kitchen Equipment Technician is responsible for carrying out maintenance operations within the hotel, including the repair and servicing of kitchen equipment, general property upkeep, and supporting energy conservation initiatives, to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
+ Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install and commission all kitchen & beverage equipment to ensure continuous, safe operation of culinary operations.
+ Conduct scheduled planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and condition-based inspections for kitchen and refrigeration assets; document outcomes and follow up on recommended repairs.
+ Respond rapidly to kitchen breakdowns and emergency service calls (cook line, cold storage, dishwashing, beverage stations) to avoid service disruption.
+ Calibrate and verify temperature controls, sensors, thermostats, pressure switches, and electronic controllers to meet HACCP and food-safety requirements.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance records: work orders, equipment service histories, parts inventory, and energy usage logs.
+ Source and recommend spare parts, consumables and vendor service support; execute parts procurement and warranty claims.
+ Work in close coordination with Kitchen, Stewarding, F&B and Engineering to schedule PPM and shutdowns with minimal operational impact.
+ Monitor refrigeration and kitchen energy/water consumption; recommend and implement energy-saving improvements.
+ Ensure strict compliance with food safety (HACCP), gas safety, electrical safety, and fire suppression regulations when working in kitchen areas.
+ Maintain a clean, safe work area and service tools; ensure all work follows hotel safety policies and local statutory regulations.
+ Assist during peak events, banquets and F&B functions to ensure continuous kitchen operation.
+ Participate in equipment commissioning, new equipment handovers and vendor coordination.
+ Support energy-conservation and sustainability initiatives for kitchen operations (water recovery, variable speed drives, insulation).
+ Keep technical skills current through manufacturer training, refrigeration safety courses and in-house briefings.
+ Crosstrain with Engineering colleagues on relevant MEP topics as needed.

+ Good mechanical aptitude for pumps, valves, bearings and drive systems.

+ Strong prioritization, communication and coordination skills working alongside chefs and F&D teams.
+ Ability to work under pressure, including nights and weekends when kitchens operate.
