The Role

The Operations Specialist is a leadership role within Deliveroo’s Grocery Field Operations team, responsible for driving performance, consistency, and execution across a cluster of grocery and retail sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of operational risks.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet the required quality standards for customer service (internal & external).
  • Ensure support and coordination between the business unit and the back office units.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Accounting and Operations Managers.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions and operations.
Required Experience

At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting or banking operations, preferably within a wholesale banking environment.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good understanding of accounting principles and banking operations.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

The Role
Charterhouse is partnering with a global logistics consultancy that offers a wide range of complex services to its global client network for project-based assignments. Our client is seeking a solution-focused Operations Specialist to support with managing on-time delivery and execution for a portfolio of government accounts. This role will be based in the Dubai regional headquarters, with frequent travel across the GCC required. The Operations Specialist will manage end-to-end service delivery and contract compliance across a portfolio of accounts in the Middle East. This includes interpreting client contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies, and identifying opportunities for cost-effective outcomes. There will be ongoing coordination with global teams, clients, and local partners to ensure timely delivery of projects within the required scope and budget. This role requires regular onsite presence in order to effectively oversee operations, provide in-depth progress reports, and identify any skill gaps where additional training is required for partners/colleagues. A high level of flexibility is a prerequisite for the role, with frequent travel at short notice across the region.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience in logistics, preferably in the GCC with exposure to project-based assignments. A strong understanding of commercial contracts and operational execution is required, alongside excellent relationship-building skills. Our client is looking to hire an individual who is able to remain composed under pressure and can be trusted with a high level of autonomy and decision-making. Excellent fluency in English is essential, whilst Arabic or French would be advantageous.
