Job Description Wood is currently recruiting for an experienced PMC Fab Yard Senior QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical) for ADNOC Offshore client in Abu Dhabi within our Oil, Gas & New Energies business.
Due to the nature of the projects and client expectation, the position will be fabyard/site based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Key Objectives For This Role Are
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of static and rotating mechanical systems, ensuring timely, cost-effective project execution while integrating procurement quality management.
- Develop detailed specifications, select appropriate mechanical components, and ensure compliance with industry standards, procurement guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Provide technical leadership to the engineering team, conducting reviews and evaluations to ensure mechanical system reliability, efficiency, and procurement best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, procurement specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and quality control in mechanical engineering and procurement workflows.
- Lead testing and commissioning plans for mechanical systems, ensuring proper calibration, procurement quality assurance, and optimal functionality of equipment.

Expected
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent in Quality management, project management or related discipline (essential)
- Minimum 15 years atleast 10 years in oil & gas and 6 years in FEED/Engineering experience.
- Lead Auditor qualification by recognized industry body (essential)
- Membership of CQI/ASQ Quality organizations, Project Management Institute or equivalent (desirable)
- Experience in the middle east is preferred
- Be a team player where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution
- Be able to work in a team environment and handle multiple project responsibilities

The Senior Construction Tech completes a variety of construction assignments with limited supervision. They serve as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience, demonstrating proficiency in analytical processes to carry out tasks and providing solutions in atypical situations. They directly impact the quality of team work.
ResponsibilitiesKey Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Querying, structuring, cleaning, and transforming datasets for analytics and reporting related to engineering, procurement, and construction data.
- Developing plans for project material storage, handling, transportation, and FTM.
- Supervising material bag/tagging and reconciliation activities.
- Leading preparations for delivering project ship loose items offshore.
- Planning, coordinating, and managing the lifecycle of equipment, including maintenance, repairs, and utilization tracking.
- Supporting the operation team in equipment budgeting and procurement of new equipment.
- Establishing systems for asset lifecycle management and making replacement recommendations.
- Collaborating with procurement to evaluate technology upgrades for efficiency, maintenance cost reduction, and lifecycle improvement.
- Identifying cost savings and providing recommendations to management.
- Monitoring compliance with asset-related procedures and overseeing procurement, refurbishment, and repairs to ensure quality standards.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Graduate or Diploma in Material Management.
- Over 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Fabrication, Construction, Marine, or Petrochemical industries, with systems administration experience.
- Familiarity with offshore/onshore engineering 3D design and detailing tools (S3D, E3D, Tekla, Spoolgen).
- Hands-on experience with design review tools like Smartplant Review and Autodesk Forge.
- Knowledge of report design, development, and distribution tools (SSRS, PowerBI, Tableau, Telerik).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

The Senior Construction Tech completes assignments and directs the work activities of others; expected to coordinate work beyond own area. Solves unique and complex problems with project data management. Acts as a subject matter expert, coordinating the work of others. Exchanges ideas and information effectively. Assists the discipline (Piping, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical) production engineering team to meet project fabrication and construction requirements.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities:**
+ Support project team with system setup, functional reporting, fabrication sequence, path of construction review, constructability on a discipline level etc.
+ Engineering data mapping, attributes management, and reporting.
+ Manage interfaces with external systems such as project schedule, material management, document management, commissioning etc.
+ Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
+ Support the Fabrication Bid coordination efforts with review of 3D model attributes and mapping
+ Ensure necessary documentation and compliance to procedural requirements throughout the project phases. E.g.: Adhere to work packaging process, follow change management process, documenting and communicating lesson learned to relevant stakeholders at every phase of project to avoid recurrence, support in issuance of project close out report.

**Essential Qualifications and Education:**
+ Any Graduate/Diploma in Science, Engineering, or Computer Science
+ Over 8 years in the Oil & Gas/ Fabrication/Construction/Marine/Petrochemical industry as a systems admin
+ Knowledge of offshore/onshore EPC project fabrication and construction process (fabrication, installation, painting, and pre-commissioning)
+ Experience with 3D engineering design authoring tool, data management and interface files (SPF, SPC, S3D, PDMS, E3D, Tekla, Spoolgen)
+ Advanced knowledge and understanding of material specifications for offshore/onshore
+ Knowledge of reports design, development, and distribution (SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, Telerik)
+ Advanced knowledge in MS Office tools, MS Access, VBA Macros, Power Query, & Power Automate
+ Proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training & considerable on-the-job experience
