A Building Systems Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of all property systems, supporting both guest comfort and operational excellence. Responsible for conducting preventive and condition-based maintenance, this role oversees the performance of key systems through advanced monitoring tools, including HVAC, lighting, water systems, elevators, fire safety, and refrigeration.

The Technician monitors system alarms, adjusts parameters based on occupancy and environmental conditions, and ensures optimal settings are maintained in guest rooms, public areas, and specialized zones such as aquatic animal exhibits. The Technician also logs system performance data, escalates issues promptly, and ensures all tasks are carried out in line with industry standards and best practices.

This position requires flexibility to work on a rotational shift basis, strong technical expertise, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for guests and colleagues. The Technician is also expected to support the development of junior team members and uphold the highest standards of service delivery within a dynamic hospitality setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned tasks according to standard facilities maintenance procedures, including operation and monitoring of mechanical plant rooms, Energy Transfer Stations (ETS), and utility readings.
  • Diploma or trade school certification in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a technical trade, preferably within a large-scale or hospitality environment.
  • S sound knowledge and hands-on experience with large-scale HVAC equipment, particularly ETS and AHUs.
  • Certification or training in Building Management Systems, especially Siemens systems, is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programs and workplace safety practices.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and rectification skills across various trades related to facilities maintenance.
