The primary function of the role is to perform UPS commissioning, service/repairs and periodic maintenance for Eaton Install base. You will be working on Eaton UPS´s including the scope from small 1-phase UPS to large data center UPS´ up to 1700kVA. S/he will follow up customer agreements and customer satisfaction through planning, execution, documentation and invoicing of service tasks. S/he will ensure update of customer information, technical documentation and input to correct invoicing of customers. S/he will support customers in technical questions (phone and/ or mail) and support own colleagues in Service department and sales with technical knowledge. S/he will participate in required training (technical, mandatory by Eaton or by law).

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for performing commissioning, service, repair and preventive maintenance on Eaton Installed Base/products.
  • Proactively involve in scheduling/planning of works.
  • Actively support and work to be in line with goals and performance KPI .
  • Secure timely reporting and technical reports are done in connection to each individual work.
  • Attend all mandatory trainings provided in accordance with Eaton policy.
  • Work and act in line with Eaton guidelines, processes and code of ethics.
  • Cooperate with Project Managers in projects supporting in plannnig and commissioning scheduling.
  • Offer support for high profile clients, providing technical advice and attending site visits as required.
  • Maintain direct links with business units (HPO) in technical issues.
  • Actively support Eaton Environment, Health & Safety culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in Field Service Engineering

What You'll Do

Role Overview
Installation, Service, and support of Rapiscan X-RAY screening systems in UAE/MEA region. This role will have primary responsibility for supporting all X-ray and Trace product lines of Rapiscan systems deployed across multiple projects.

Responsibilities
Working on Rapiscan's Product Line:

  • Installation, commissioning and service support of Rapiscan's X-ray and Trace systems in UAE/MEA.
  • Carry out service site surveys prior to installations and professional site reports.
  • Fitting, system diagnosis, troubleshooting and fault finding on Detection systems & sub systems, carrying out the repair, maintenance and overhaul as necessary elements of Detection systems and escalation for rectification of system issues.
  • Documentation: Completing technical documentation including service reports, engineering change requests & inputting service data to a simple functional database, Ensure timely completion of Field Modification Instructions and Planned Maintenance, corrective repair and Service inspections documentation
  • Carries out all preventive and corrective maintenance works and attends all call-outs.
  • Detailed failure analysis activities, including investigation / reporting / resolution
  • Spare parts recommendations to management for different service levels or periodic service intervals
  • Makes sure to submit service reports and non-conformance reports as required without delay
  • Give regular feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management and QA as part of our continuous improvement programme.
  • Take part in other departmental ad-hoc duties when required including special projects.
  • Customer skills: Daily interface with operators, technicians and BHS managers on equipment status issues.

  • Conception preparation and execution of factory and site acceptance tests together with customer and supplier.
  • Coordination of commissioning works inclusive take-over of responsibility for budget and time of all commissioning activities on site.
  • Self-responsible supervision and management of suppliers and/or partners active leadership of commissioning activities on site in UAE continuous learning and development in all related technologies and arranging & sustaining a safe environment by implementing HSE requirements.
  • Employees shall also carry out any tasks that are assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job requirements.
  • Acts as voice of customer back into internal engineering and quality functions.
  • Effectively manages multifunctional interfaces - internal feeder factories service department customers and sub suppliers.
  • Able to show personal leadership & maintain a teamwork environment to deliver assignments.
  • Responsible for adherence to the quality assurance requirements on the Power Plant /
    Substation / Oil & Gas / Process Industries site and seeks to improve these continually.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations procedures and guidelines.

Your background

  • A bachelors degree in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years or Diploma in electrical engineering with minimum 10 Years of experience in Power Quality services and commissioning works.
  • Proficient in analyzing electrical systems and implementing corrective measures.
  • Strong knowledge of power quality systems filters capacitors & reactors.
  • Experience in collaborating with clients and engineering teams.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Computer literate and excellent interpersonal written/oral communication skills.
  • Team player with the ability to network and build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Highly focused on meeting customer service and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
