We are looking for a skilled and motivated technician to join our growing team at Evac in the UAE. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality installation, maintenance, and service solutions across the marine and offshore industries. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation, alignment, and integration of STP/MBR systems on board ships or offshore platforms.
  • Supervise or execute commissioning/Installation of vacuum toilets, collection tanks, transfer systems, MBR membranes (CIP cycles, replacement), Vacuum pumps, ejectors, valves, blowers, dosing systems, float switches and operate and manage ensuring leak-free and pressure stability.
  • Perform routine testing of MBR permeate quality, membrane integrity, and vacuum pressure levels.
  • Ensure systems comply with IMO (International Maritime Organization) and Marine standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, operational data sheets, compliance records and detailed service report
  • Conduct annual surveys, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair services.
  • Conduct warranty inspections and support claims with technical findings.

What we are looking for

  • Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram, and equipment manuals related to STP, MBR systems, and vacuum collection systems.
  • Hands-on experience in field service, maintenance, or technician roles, ideally within marine, offshore, or industrial wastewater treatment systems.
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with ship crew, contractors, and technical teams, and to document service reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word (for report writing) and Excel (for data logging, performance tracking, and maintenance records).
  • Physically fit and safety-conscious, capable of working in confined spaces, sewage treatment compartments, and at heights or via ladders, in line with marine HSE standards.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively, often under pressure in time-critical service environments (e.g., port calls, dry docks, offshore platforms).
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UAE and internationally, including onboard vessels, offshore facilities, and client sites, sometimes at short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering/ 3-year diploma.
  • 2+ years of hands-on field experience in installation or servicing technical systems.

Field Service & Maintenance

  • Perform servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of torque tools, jar testers, and other mechanical/hydraulic service equipment at customer sites.
  • Conduct functional tests to verify the performance of equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is serviced according to NOV procedures.
Travel
  • Travel to customer sites within and outside the base country as required, sometimes at short notice.
  • Maintain a professional and safe working environment while representing the company on-site.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Complete all maintenance logs, service reports, calibration certificates, and customer paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Provide detailed service documentation and report any non-conformances or issues observed during service.
Safety & Compliance
  • Comply with all company HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) policies and site-specific safety protocols.
  • Identify potential hazards and ensure corrective measures are taken.
Equipment Support
  • Maintain the service equipment in-house and ensure tools are in working condition.
  • Support the calibration and inspection schedules of equipment.
Essential
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Diploma in mechanical, or hydraulic engineering, or any related technical field
  • Min 2 years experience in similar position
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in field environments.
  • Good command of English language (reading speaking and writing)
Desirable
  • Bacholors in Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • Previous relevant experience in O&G industry

**Requirements**
Qualifications
+ Diploma (or equivalent) in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Field.
+ Minimum 6 months of working experience / internship in the HVAC industry / field.
+ A valid driving license is a plus.
Knowledge of
+ Principles and practices of HVAC equipment's maintenance and repair inline with industry practices & manufacturer's guidelines.
+ Hazar & Safety practices and procedures used in installing, repairing & maintaining HVAC equipment and MSDS sheets.
+ Overall understanding & practices of tools utilization & management.
+ Preparation & filling of inspection reports / Technical reports.
+ Overall understanding & complying with quality management practices as per company standards & any other applicable quality standards.
+ Good English knowledge in terms of speaking, writing, reading & listening.
+ Communication & inter-personal skills, team player & customer oriented.
+ Basic understanding & knowledge in Metal sheets, electrical, carpentry & Building Automation controls.
**Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities**
+ Follow standard processes to accomplish tasks (Understand & follow oral and written directions).
+ Essential Task Description: (daily tasks and duties) including daily timesheet.
+ Attend & complete assigned tasks within assigned time to the best ability and ensure quality services & customer satisfaction. Leave site clean & neat.
+ Keep customer informed with the task nature & progress upon site arrival & prior leaving work site. Share outstanding issues & suggested enhancements / recommendations.
+ Fill up Job Completion Certificate / Job Card / EH&S site surveys.
+ Inspect air-conditioning units to ensure efficient operation & diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions and make recommendations.
+ Make estimates of labor hours & materials required.
+ Assist in repairing and replacing damaged parts.
+ Cleans coils, blowers, checks motors, and belt tensions.
+ Work closely with colleagues as part of an integrated team.
+ Recognize safety hazards commonly found in HVAC operations, and identify and implement appropriate controls to ensure safe work.
+ Identify situations that require escalation or elevation to Supervisor or Manager for guidance or need to request additional support.
+ Manage & organize machinery tools pickup, delivery, usage & inventory as applicable.
