Based at the Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Finance Department, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in maintaining and improving financial processes, analysing financial data, and to assist the Director of Finance/ Assistant Financial Controller in all areas. The Financial Accountant reports to the Director of Finance/ Assistant Financial Controller.
As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the following duties:- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
- Investigate and input bank statement data
- Prepare bank reconciliations such as agency imprest and replacement reserve
- Review accounts payable monthly inventory reconciliations
- Review accounts payable purchase journal
- Review and prepare input in the general ledger from various sources
- Review food and beverage control reconciliations and journal
- Review accounts payable / inventory interface
- Prepare balance sheet record and identify and reconcile all items therein
- Manage Payroll Audit
- Assist with the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop comprehensive financial plans
- Coordinate and participate in the year-end audit process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all audit requirements
- Controls all balance sheet accounts by preparation of monthly account reconciliations and actions accordingly
- Prepares monthly Financial Statements for distribution to Department Heads and Executives, as directed by the Director of Finance
- Prepares all journal vouchers related to for month-end closing and to ensure that all JV's are recorded in the system
- Responsible for uploading / input of Hyperion records and generating of Hyperion reports
- Responsible for updating and maintenance of reports in Sun System version 6.04
- Responsible in assisting during the month-end closing preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
- Must be a graduate with knowledge of accounting. ACCA or similar qualification will be an advantage
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role preferably in a luxury Hotel Group, resort experience will be a plus
- Must possess hands on experience in Sun Accounting System and Hyperion system

Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities will include controlling, comparing, analysing and managing the costs of all individual projects. You will prepare all cash-flow forecasts, compile and prepare all monthly and quarterly management reports whilst managing the budgeting process with quarterly re-budgeting and re-forecasting. You will oversee all control accounts particularly the follow up of Accounts Receivable ensuring debtor days are controlled.
The successful candidate should be fully Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with experience of operating at Controller level within an oil and gas, preferably subsea environment. You should be able to demonstrate past experience of showing initiative and proactively improving the financial reporting processes at month / quarter and year end. It is essential you have a high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.

About Your Team
You will be part of LINQ's Finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. The team plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and performance monitoring across modular construction operations. Your Role
As a Financial Accountant, you will:
- Prepare accurate financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in line with IFRS.
- Perform variance analysis, account reviews, and reconciliations to explain financial performance.
- Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger through accurate postings, adjustments, and reconciliations.
