Financial Planning and Reporting Specialist
Job Description:- To oversee the management of government budgeting and reporting for various business projects, ensuring timely and accurate submissions in line with relevant policies and procedures.
- Assist in the consolidation and reporting of financial and business performance against internal KPI's and plans.
- Administer manpower budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure completion of information for the consolidated business plan.
- Manage the design and preparation of monthly management reports for all Government funded initiatives.
- Report on a monthly basis to senior finance management on Government funded initiatives, highlighting variances and providing recommendations.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all financial reports to the statistics centre on a yearly basis.
- Manage any reporting to the Department of Economic Development (DED) and the Executive Council (EC).
- Review and analyse transactions in the General Ledger periodically, preparing required journals to reclassify entries to the correct account and project.
- Work with project managers to ensure accruals/provisions and prepayments are prepared and entered on a monthly basis.
- Manage and prepare reconciliations along with supporting documents/schedules/information for the monthly management file, quarterly and annual review by the external auditors.
- Manage the entire budgeting process for Government funded initiatives and liaise with the Department of Finance (DOF) to ensure alignment.
6-8 years of experience in financial planning and reporting, preferably in government reporting, with at least 3-4 years working at a group financial planning and reporting level in large multi-national companies involving similar responsibilities and activities or equivalent experience.
Job-Specific Skills:- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills leading to a consultative approach within a corporate environment.
- Extensive knowledge of ERP environment.
- Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
