ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Learning & Development Trainer to join our Human Resources team. - Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

The Responsibilities
Establishes and maintains professionally appropriate criteria and procedures for determining eligibility of Zayed University students for disability accommodations and services.
Advises faculty and administrators of legal responsibilities and establishes procedures for compliance.
Maintains a confidential and secure database of all students with disabilities and create reports for the management, when required.
Serves on committees as deemed appropriate and represents the department at university functions and engage in special projects, as requested.
Visits schools to promote the Office of Accessibility to encourage students with disabilities to join ZU.
Manage a case load of students and oversee support services for students with learning disabilities to
ensure appropriate accommodations and compliance with UAE Disability Law
Liaises with faculty members and other departments to ensurethe delivery of curriculum to students with disabilities in an accessible format which is based on students’ specific learning styles.

Provide support for the teachers to meet curriculum objectives.
Adapt classrooms printed material by producing alternative accessible formats for students with special needs.
Provide academic evaluation for students with learning issues and decide on the proper accommodation.
- Provide students with learning issues with academic tutoring, advising, and training in course content, study skills, time-management, effective review, and test-taking methods, etc.
- Provide individual sessions to help students with their study approaches or to develop skills in a specific area.
- Providing regular progress reports regarding students, as appropriate, eligible, and requested.
Assist in developing plans and initiatives and make recommendations to establish or amend policies,
procedures, and practices that will facilitate services to students with learning disabilities;
Review and interpret psycho‐educational evaluations, Individualized Education Plans,
and other diagnostic information to determine student eligibility for disability support services and
reasonable accommodations;
- Coach students in applying proven academic strategies in their classes
- Resolve academic and classroom-relatedproblems
Follow up progress of students with learning difficulties throughout the academic year.

The Requirements
Must posses a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Counseling, Psychology, Education with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in administering services for individuals with learning disabilities to include identifying and providing the necessary accommodation or related field, or an equivalent combination of both.
Fluent in Arabic and English
Relevant professional experience in administering services for individuals with disabilities to include identifying and implementing student accommodations is also required.
Other essential requirements:
Demonstrated understanding of the UAE Disabilities Law.
Demonstrated understanding of developmental issues facing university students from a diverse range of cultures and backgrounds.
Demonstrated knowledge of disability assessment, accommodations, services, and assistive technologies.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills; strong planning and facilitation skills.

The Learning Associate works with their Country L&D manager, Operations Managers, Area Managers, Delivery Service Provider (DSP) Managers, Dispatchers, Drivers and Warehouse Associates to coordinate all training related activities for the site. The individual in this position will provide ground level training facilitation and administrative management. The Learning Associate will play an integral role in ensuring all operations compliance training for the sites is maintained, as well as ensuring all training documentation and daily expectations are accurate, completed, and up to date. The Learning Associate is assigned to the Learning Department and will manage specific responsibilities to that department.
Key job responsibilities
- Coordinate and facilitate all training related programs (up to but not limited to 50 members in a session)
- Track performance including learning curve and quality and implement appropriate performance improvement initiatives to support improved performance
- Monitor adherence to all established training programs to ensure standard work is achieved and implement new tactical and strategic projects
- Create training documents; utilize various software such as Articulate 360, Photoshop, video editing to design effective training content
- Execute plans to close gaps in the developmental needs for individuals and groups
- Partner with program managers and leadership teams to update training documents, implement process change and ensure site adoption of process changes

Basic Qualifications

There is no scope for remote work for this role. Employee needs to be present at site locations during work hours. 1. Candidate would be required to work 5 days a week (9hour working and 1hour break). The 2 days off will be split or together depending on business needs and rostering for the month. This will be decided and can change as per requirement of coverage in the team 2. Candidate will need to work odd shifts - 6AM and 8AM are most common shift start times and in some cases night shift which will start at 11 PM or 1AM and evening shift which will start at 3 PM. Compensatory off is provided for shift change as per Amazon policy. 3. Travelling to different stations in the shift or during the week is required as per business needs.

About the team
The Learning Area Manager is an active member of the Fulfillment Center Operations Learning team, driving and supporting network-wide initiatives. Successful candidates will have a creative, true hands-on approach to execute the day to day actions ensuring daily and weekly compliance is met and data-driven, analytical thinking skills. In addition, effective presentation and persuasion skills are a must. This role requires the ability to influence without authority.
Furthermore, the role will partner very closely with Operations and there will be a requirement to understand the warehouse process operation. Execution skills are a must in being able to deliver daily coaching to support the development of our warehouse associates. The role will be based in our Fulfillment Center, in a fast-paced consumer goods environment.
