Job Description

A reputed Engineering Consultant office in Dubai is urgently looking for a Mechanical Engineer.

Responsibilities:
  1. Responsible for site supervision, auditing work execution, quality checks, and maintaining records for high-rise towers and luxury villas.
  2. Check materials received on site in compliance with the Contractor’s approved submissions.
  3. Inspect construction works, including builder works and MEP installation, as per shop drawings and project specifications.
  4. Inspect testing and commissioning for all mechanical services.
  5. Check for non-conformity to specifications and drawings.
  6. Assist and coordinate with other engineers upon the approval of shop drawings and material submittals.
  7. Administer and manage all submittals and approval processes.
  8. Monitor contractor’s activities on site concerning technical, authorities’ regulation, and contractual compliance.
  9. Discuss with other engineers all interrelated construction functions, including materials, equipment, and construction sequence.
  10. Communicate directly with contractors and clients to coordinate activities on routine matters.
Requirements:
  1. Mechanical Engineering graduate with 7+ years of working experience as a site engineer.
  2. Willing to join on an immediate basis; candidates with 3-5 years of experience in UAE are preferred.
  3. UAE Driving License is a must.

Our Multi National Design & Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant (Senior) Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on new build villas, mansions and residential apartment projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Mechanical Engineer working on similar projects in the UAE performing design review and site coordination & supervision. Only candidates with a track record of working for recognised supervision consultants or PMC Companies will be considered. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 18-24 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting. Key Responsibilities: The ‘Mechanical Engineer’ will be responsible for providing technical support to the Resident Engineer and for reviewing, monitoring, inspecting and supervising all Mechanical Works for the construction phase of the Project. He/She shall have the responsibility for checking that the Contractor’s Works are carried out in accordance with the Contract. Requirements
• BSc Minimum in Mechanical Engineering • 8-10 years minimum of experience with at least 2 in a recognised PMC or supervision consultancy company • Previous experience working on villas, mansions and residential apartment build projects is required • Strong design review and supervision engineer experience • In-depth knowledge of local design standards and working experience with local authorities technical and legal requirements • Strong communication, stakeholder and client management skills in a client facing role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Mechanical Engineer (Design) to join our team. In this role you will perform conventional mechanical engineering design assignments applying mechanical engineering techniques and analysis within a discipline.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of mechanical engineering designs for mechanical systems and pressurized networks for large and mega infrastructure projects that meet customer quality requirements and international as well as local authority regulations and standards. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
  • Strong infrastructure engineering background with previous experience on infrastructure projects calculations, and report writing skills.
  • Shall be able to analyze the specific project requirements for greenfield, brownfield projects.
  • Design of mechanical equipment for Sewerage Treatment Plants, and various storm water, sewage, irrigation pumping stations.
  • Preparation of design reports, tender documents and securing design approvals for different project phases including coordination with client/authorities/sub consultants.
  • Review of design reports prepared by other consultants and preparation of design review reports.
  • Experience in using MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks environment and BIM software as well as Revit software is necessary.
  • Verifying clash analysis and resolving the clashes in 3D models.
  • Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designers/Drafters, Designers, and Junior Engineers working on the same project. Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering is required.
  • Support the preparation of detailed technical, commercial and life cycle cost analysis of various technical alternatives. Prepare and deliver detailed technical PowerPoint presentations for clients. Experience in preparing technical design reports with minimum support from managers.

Job Description

The Role
• Lead and manage all mechanical works on site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets. • Oversee and coordinate with sub-contractors for the execution of mechanical systems. • Manage the submission and approval process for shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. • Monitor, track, and report on project KPIs to senior management. • Review and manage interim payment certificates (IPCs). • Ensure adherence to local authority regulations and codes (DEWA, CDC, DM, etc.). • Deliver projects through all phases of execution, from start to handover, with a focus on quality and safety.

Requirements
• Minimum 12 years of total experience in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 5 years in the UAE. • Strong knowledge of UAE authority requirements and codes, including DEWA, CDC, DM, and other relevant standards. • Proven track record with at least two full project lifecycles (residential or hotel projects). • Demonstrated experience in managing sub-contractors and overseeing project execution. • Strong experience with KPI tracking, IPC management, material approvals, and shop drawing submissions. • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
