The SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) Administrator reports to the assigned Project Manager.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive SmartPlant Foundation Administrator with a strong background in integrating engineering design tools such as SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation), SPEL (SmartPlant Electrical), S3D (Smart 3D), and SPPID (SmartPlant P&ID).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing SPF environments, ensuring seamless integration across tools, maintaining data integrity, and supporting engineering teams in their digital project execution.
Key Responsibilitiesand Duties
SPF Administration:
Manage and maintain SPF environments including configuration, user access, and data security.
Perform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of SPF systems.
Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues related to SPF and integrated tools.
Integration Management:
Configure and maintain integration between SPF and SPI, SPEL, S3D, SPPID.
Ensure data consistency and synchronization across integrated platforms.
Develop and maintain workflows, rules, and mappings for data exchange.
Support & Coordination:
Provide technical support to engineering teams using SPF and integrated tools.
Coordinate with Hexagon support for issue resolution and enhancements.
Train users and develop documentation for SPF processes and integrations.
Data & Document Management:
Oversee document lifecycle management within SPF.
Ensure proper classification, metadata tagging, and version control of engineering documents.
Support creation and management of PBS, WBS, and other project structures.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure SPF configurations align with company standards and project requirements.
Maintain audit trails and support compliance with data governance policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in SPF administration and integration.
- Hands-on experience with SPI, SPEL, S3D, and SPPID.
- Strong understanding of engineering data workflows and lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in SQL, XML, and scripting for automation and customization.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SmartPlant Enterprise suite in EPC or Owner-Operator environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-hosted SPF environments.
- Knowledge of project execution methodologies and digital twin concepts.
- Willingness to overcome challenges and pressure during peak of project.
- UAE local experience is added value.

- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns or system failures.
