Job Description
Our client is a globally recognised innovator in advanced semiconductor technology , delivering next-generation solutions for System-on-Chip (SoC) design and manufacturing . As part of their strategic growth plans, the company is seeking a Global Business Development Director to lead the commercial expansion of its licensable IP and platform technologies across international markets.
- Develop and execute the company's global business development strategy , focusing on IP licensing, strategic partnerships, and new market penetration.
- Lead complex commercial engagements with semiconductor manufacturers, foundries, design houses, and OEMs across North America, Europe, and Asia.
- Identify, structure, and negotiate licensing agreements, joint ventures, and technology collaborations aligned with the company's long-term roadmap.
- Act as a key commercial interface between engineering, product development, and executive leadership to shape go-to-market strategies based on customer needs and technological capabilities.
- Establish and grow a high-quality global customer pipeline, leveraging market intelligence, competitor analysis, and industry insights.
- Represent the company at major industry forums, customer events, and investor briefings, positioning the brand as a leader in SoC innovation.
- Strong technical background (e.g., degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or similar), with deep knowledge of SoC architecture, semiconductor design, and manufacturing processes .
- Minimum 10+ years of business development, strategic sales, or commercial leadership experience in the semiconductor industry , preferably with IP/licensing-based business models.
- Proven ability to close high-value licensing deals and develop long-term strategic relationships with Tier 1 clients.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a global mindset.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
