A successful Health Club Attendant is the face of our organization, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all guests and members.

Key responsibilities include greeting visitors, operating the point of sale system, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and effectively communicating with guests and staff.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in hospitality or a related field, be available to work weekends and shift work, and possess excellent communication skills.

This full-time position requires a regular schedule, offering a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our guests by:

• Conducting regular observations of the swimming area to identify potential hazards and providing assistance to swimmers in need.
• Enforcing pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.
• Providing first aid and emergency care until medical professionals arrive on the scene.
• Maintaining a clean and organized pool deck and surrounding areas.

To excel in this role, you will require excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, and a strong attention to detail. Additionally, you must hold current certifications in CPR and First Aid.

POSITION SUMMARY

Use appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need of assistance. Observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions unusual or unsafe activities and swimmers who are struggling. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager. Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Obtain fold and stack towels according to company procedures. Wash mop and clean the pool deck.

Report accidents injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow company policies and procedures; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; anticipate and address guests service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Visually inspect tools equipment or machines (e.g. to identify defects). Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (e.g. run walk jog). Stand sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move lift carry push pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Grasp turn and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move over sloping uneven or slippery surfaces as well as up and down ladders stairs and/or service ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees including bending twisting pulling and stooping. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: No related work experience.

Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

• Attends pre-shift briefings and handover to Supervisor at end of shift.
• Turn on and switch off Steam and Sauna before opening and after closing shift respectively.
• Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Reports any problems or questions to Health club Supervisor.
• Offer assistance to guest and heartists in a courteous manner.
• Understand simple instructions, learn simple procedures and techniques.
• Perform routine work or the same task daily.
• To report instantly and turn over to security any lost and found items.
• To report any equipment malfunctioning.
• To report anything which may be a Health & Safety hazard
• Maintain excellent grooming and uniform standards.
• Read, Understand and follow all department policies.
