We are looking for an individual with strong enthusiasm for highways engineering and passion to get involved in interesting and complex hihgways schemes. They should be able to work within a team environment, supporting the design delivery of existing projects.

Job responsibilities

• Support the production of design deliverables under supervision – packages of drawings, specifications, etc.
• Must be currently located and able to work in the UAE
• Looking for office based work (Dubai)
• A desire to learn and develop as a highways engineer
• 1 year experience work in the highways industry
• Autocad, MicroDrainage/Infodrainage and Civil 3D software
• Previous exposure to highways projects

+ Very good knowledge of utilizing Bentley Microstation.
+ Proficiency in utilizing any other CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering.

**What You'll Be Doing:**

**What will be your responsibilities**
+ Performing complex engineering tasks such as developing options for complicated road schemes, major grade-separated road crossings, in the most efficient and accurate engineering manner.
+ Extracting engineering information from CAD drawings.
+ Checking and designing 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads,.
+ Preparing engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
+ Completing a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes. Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments.
+ Preparing detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
+ Reviewing supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
+ Preparing and issuing specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
+ Providing technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
+ May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
+ May act in an advisory capacity to senior management personnel on engineering related matters.
+ Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ **Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Transportation** **Engineering** from a recognized University.
+ Minimum **8+ years** experience in highway design with thorough knowledge of Highway Design Software.
+ Preferred to have experience in Dubai/UAE.
+ Experience if developing highway network design for large Masterplanning projects, with development area ranging from 60 to 1,200HaProficiency in utilizing AutoDesk Civil 3D for design development of complicated road network, at-grade roads, intersections, including design optioneering.Bentley Microstation skills are advantegous for the position.
+ Experience with Dubai RTA projects or simlar is desirable.
+ Excellent command of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
+ Command of Bentley MicroStation is desiarable
+ Bentley OpenRoads skills are desirable.
+ Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
+ Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
+ Ability to guide and motivate and train junior engineers within the team.
