To effectively manage and lead a bank branch, adhering to SIB policies and guidelines, and ensuring that target achievement, business development and high customer focus are maintained as per the strategic plan set for the Branch, the Area and the Retail Banking function as a whole.
Key Accountabilities:
- Development of Business:
Identifies opportunities and actively pursues them to use appropriately in developing the Business. Promotes Branch quality services to gain maximum market share to maximize profitability. - Follow-up On Daily Reports:
Reviews reports related to overdraft, dormant accounts, daily assets & liabilities, profit & loss accounts, suspense accounts, etc. Reviews financial sheets from previous day's operations and attends to unusual situations such as overdraft, facilities, etc. granted to customers and reports accordingly. - People Management:
Supervises the performance of employees in their daily operations, providing support and guidance. - Performance Monitoring:
Reviews internal reports, performance against established targets, comments and provides guidance and support for further action as applicable. Generates commitments & builds a reliable team, providing guidance & support with constructive feedback.
Exercises financial responsibilities at the level established by Management for this position. Works according to established procedures within the policy of the bank. Makes own decisions for matters within the scope of the position and refers major decisions and recommendations to higher levels of supervision for further discussion, approval and handling.

- Extensive knowledge of the complete range of banking products and services.
- Over 5 years of experience in governance within the financial sector, with a strong record of consistent performance and achievements.
- Understanding of all banking operations, Islamic Banking products, policies, CBUAE regulations and compliance.

The ideal candidate should be able to direct, lead and motivate a team of sales agents / TLs to ensure effective management of the sales network.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Monitor Sales Management activities and sales metrics for sales agents / TLs and staff objectives including key sales activity metrics and sales objectives for the sales staff and providing guidance and support to enhance performance.
- Develop actionable, innovative and effective activities to achieve sales targets.
- Ensure that the sales agents / TLs exceed their targets in a manner compliant to Markai Policy and Code of Conduct
- Ensure there are regular team meetings to analyze progress and plan activity to succeed.
- Identify training needs and coordinating with the relevant departments/staff to ensure training is provided.
- Resolve management queries and staff and customer complaints.

- Implement best practices and recommended updates received from Compliance/Internal Controls and internal and external Audit points and issues.
- Drive the performance of the department by leading, managing and developing the team.
- Manage the team and work with HR to ensure the availability of adequate and skilled resources and fostering a performance driven and compliance-oriented culture in the department.
- Coach senior executives, planning career development and enhancing their professional skills and encourage them to continuously enhance operations and service levels.
- Manage the performance appraisal system to ensure that development opportunities are identified, and top performers are recognized.
- Minimum Education Level - Bachelor's degree from a reputed educational institution
- Professional Qualification - MBA or equivalent post graduate degree/diplomas in finance, accounting and/or general management

A Relationship Manager (RM) or a Senior Relationship Manager (Senior RM) in Private Banking is the cornerstone of a financial institution's service to its most affluent clients. More than just a banker, the RM is a trusted advisor, a financial confidante, and the primary architect of a client's wealth management strategy. Key Responsibilities :
A day in the life of a Private Banking RM is dynamic and multifaceted. Core responsibilities include :
- Client Relationship Management : Building and maintaining strong, trust-based relationships with HNW and UHNW clients in his / her portfolio. This involves regular communication, personalized service, and a deep understanding of their personal and financial circumstances.
- Wealth Management and Financial Strategy : Developing and implementing bespoke financial plans that encompass investment management, wealth structuring, estate planning, and tax optimization. This requires a holistic understanding of the client's risk tolerance, investment objectives, and long-term aspirations.
- Business Development and Client Acquisition : Actively seeking out and onboarding new HNW and UHNW clients to grow the bank's assets under management. This often involves leveraging personal networks, referrals, and attending exclusive events.
- Portfolio Management and Investment Advisory : Providing expert advice on a wide range of investment products, including equities, fixed income, alternative investments, structured products and other wealth and insurance solutions. This includes monitoring portfolio performance and making adjustments as needed in line with market conditions and client goals.
- Coordination with Specialists : Collaborating with a team of in-house experts, such as wealth and product advisors, product development teams, credit / liability products specialists, to deliver comprehensive and tailored solutions to HNW and UHNW clients.
- Risk Management and Compliance : Ensuring that all client activities are conducted in strict adherence to regulatory requirements and the bank's internal policies. This includes conducting thorough due diligence and "Know Your Customer" (KYC) checks.
- Credit and Lending Solutions : Identifying and structuring credit solutions, such as mortgages, and other forms of financing, to meet the specific needs of clients.
- Client Servicing and Issue Resolution : Acting as the single point of contact for all client inquiries and resolving any issues promptly and efficiently.
Requirements
To excel in this senior role, a candidate must possess a strong foundation of knowledge and a specific set of personal attributes :
Educational and Professional Qualifications :
- Education : A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field is typically required. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a specialized master's degree in wealth management is often preferred.
