Charterhouse is working with one of the region’s most prestigious five star hotels who are looking to hire an experienced HR Director for one of their established properties. Leading a team of 10 and reporting directly to the GM, you will be providing leadership, direction and guidance in all areas of HR management.
This role will be heavily focused around succession planning, performance management and achieving goals for the HR division. You will also be involved in developing policies and procedures, developing a HR manual for your division and managing the complete recruitment and selection process. You will be involved in overseeing the expatriate employment contracts and all aspects of compensation and benefits. This would include formulating total compensation packages, proposing and implementing a compensation and benefits system as well as developing job descriptions and job analysis when required.
The successful candidate should have previous experience in luxury hospitality for a five star plus property with a minimum of 500 employees. It is preferred that you also have UAE regional experience. You should be able to multi task, work both operationally and strategically and be very hands on in your approach. Candidates from a multi property background are highly desired for this role.

Job Description
As the People Whisperer at myqubator, you will be an essential member of the management team, responsible for cultivating a positive and empowering work environment for the entire incubator community. Your primary role is to oversee all aspects of human resources, talent management, and organizational development. You will play a vital role in attracting top talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, and supporting the professional growth and well-being of all team members within the incubator.
Job responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition: Lead the talent acquisition process, attracting and hiring top-quality candidates who align with the values and vision of myqubator and all its incubates.
2. Performance Management: Implement performance management systems, providing ongoing feedback, coaching, and support to help team members thrive and achieve their goals.
3. Culture and Engagement: Nurture a positive and inclusive organizational culture, promoting the spirit of one team, co-working, and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.
4. Learning and Development: Design and implement learning and development programs that enhance the skills and capabilities of employees, enabling them to excel in their roles.
5. Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, fostering open communication and resolving conflicts in a fair and constructive manner within myqubator and all the incubates.
6. Compliance and Policies: Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies, maintaining a fair and ethical work environment.
7. Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion efforts, creating a workplace that values and embraces individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
8. HR Strategy: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the overall goals and mission of myqubator, contributing to its long-term success.
9. You will also be responsible for developing and designing the myqubator alumni program.
Job requirements
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in HR management are advantageous.
2. Experience: Proven experience in HR management, talent acquisition, and organizational development, preferably in a startup or entrepreneurial setting.
3. Emotional Intelligence: High EQ and exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with employees and understand their needs and concerns.
4. Training and Mentoring: Demonstrated ability to provide training and mentoring to team members, fostering their professional growth.
5. Multitasking and Pressure Handling: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
6. Cross-Cultural Engagement: Experience working with diverse cultures, fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
7. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills to promote open dialogue and address employee needs.
8. HR Best Practices: Stay updated on HR best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies relevant to talent management.
