The System Administrator is responsible for optimizing the productivity of Windows servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of various infrastructure and business applications hosted by the client IT Department.
The System Administrator will work closely with internal IT teams supporting applications, Network team, Information Security team, DBA team, and business project managers, as well as externally with hardware and software vendors.
Accountable for administering Azure Infrastructure, Windows domain servers, Exchange servers, file/print servers, and application servers, which are operational on a 24x7 basis.
Responsible for ensuring very high system availability and being on call 24x7.
Install, configure, administer, and fine-tune Windows operating systems and components.
Provide second-level support to incidents and ensure their timely resolution with SLA compliance.
Protect infrastructure servers from security threats by timely updating OS patches, security patches, and service packs.
Participate in IT projects and act as a Project Manager for certain projects.
Support and maintain over 200 Windows Servers (Physical and Virtual) deployed at Dubai Data Centers and international offices.
Manage user accounts, group permissions across various domains, and a user base of 4,000 accounts.
Manage internal and external DNS servers.
Troubleshoot and resolve critical hardware and software problems.
Monitor and test system performance, providing performance statistics and reports.
Recommend and implement system modifications to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
Define and perform system backups and recovery procedures to ensure data protection.
Manage various tools including Engine Tools, AD Self Service Plus, AD Audit Plus, Exchange and Office365 Reporter, EmailTopia Email Response Manager, SMTP2Go / SendGrid, Active Directory, Server OS, Hyper-V, File and Print Server, Right Fax, Windows-based DHCP, and VMware.

Role Overview
The ideal candidate would be a Simulations and Systems Maintenance Engineer or Technical Operations Manager. To maintain the smooth functioning of high-end simulators and equipment, we would need someone with a broad skill set in both technical hardware and software troubleshooting, as well as strong vendor management skills to communicate effectively with the respective companies for repairs.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Engineering Knowledge:
Expertise in handling motion platforms, actuators, and mechanical parts.
Ability to perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Electronics and Electrical Engineering:
Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, and power supply to ensure that simulators are operating within proper voltage and current ranges.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in actuators, motors, and controllers.
Networking and IT:
Experience with network-connected devices like the Cisco access point and any other equipment that may be part of the simulation system.
Capability to maintain network integrity and handle any remote system diagnostics.
Software and Systems:
Knowledge of simulator software, including flight or racing simulation programs, and how they interface with motion platforms.
Ability to perform software updates, configuration changes, and troubleshoot software-related issues.
Vendor Coordination and Communication:
Ability to identify when external support is needed and communicate effectively with vendors (e.g., BRUNNER, D-BOX, VESARO, etc.) to ensure timely maintenance or part replacements.
Manage warranty claims, schedule service visits, and communicate with third-party service providers.
General Facilities Maintenance:
Oversight of overall system health, including the environment in which simulators operate (temperature control, space for ventilation, etc.).

Qualifications

Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience in handling complex technical systems.
Experience in maintaining high-end simulation systems (flight simulators, racing simulators) is highly desirable.
Vendor Management Experience to deal with multiple equipment manufacturers for troubleshooting, support, and repairs.
Strong Analytical Skills to perform diagnostics on both hardware and software issues.

This person would act as the primary point of contact for the day-to-day running and troubleshooting of your simulation equipment and would liaise with manufacturers for support when necessary.

About the Role:

The role holder is responsible for the overall management of budgeting, invoicing and collection of Master Community Service Charges as well as the liaison between Dubai Community Management (DCM) and the property owners / occupiers to ensure owners’ satisfaction on the services provided.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Infrastructure Operations

Manage and control all activities related to infrastructure and landscaping, monitor the progress of works for all communities, budgeted costs, quality, timelines, and standards of the service providers.

Provide expert technical advice and resolve technical issues on all aspects of infrastructure and landscaping to concerned teams to ensure effective decision making and communicate reports to the management on a regular basis.

Develop scope of work for the infrastructure maintenance contracts to be tendered within the communities and manage the tendering process in coordination with the procurement department.

Develop procurement strategy of infrastructure services across communities for smooth operations, quality maintenance and cost-effective agreements.

Provide professional advice to the projects team on all infrastructure activities in line with department work plans related to terms of reference, scope of work and time schedules, design, and construction supervision of the proposed project.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

Manage and attend customer’s complaints to ensure compliance with DCM service quality standards.

Manage the service agreements in place in terms of monitoring the service providers’ performances in regular and reactive maintenance and taking the necessary measures to react to incompliances. Quality Control measures need to be followed at all times.

Develop long term relationships with key service providers and educate them on DCM’s standards.

Ensure that service providers are paid within the time limits set in the signed agreements in order to have sufficient cash flow and maintain the services to the communities.

Budgeting & Cost Control

Implement value engineering concept and methods in order to reach to cost effective solutions and accordingly save maintaining and operation costs for the community.

Participate in budgeting for Master Community Service Charges in all communities.

Highlight additional requirements for improving communities and operational costs such as refurbishment of assets and enhancements to communities.

Develop operation and maintenance strategy for key assets in the communities to control the cost and ensure consistency in budgets over years.

Assist the department head in the preparation of annual communities’ budgets and plans for infrastructure activities, review communities’ budgets, monitor budgets, highlight budgets variances to ensure cost efficiencies in line with the objectives for OPEX saving and supervise & ensure execution of approved CAPEX projects on timely manner.

Monitor the utilities consumption metering activities to ensure the identification/correction of any anomalies.

Manage documentation and archiving of all reports and incidents.

Verify the service providers’ invoices in order to control the certification process.

Keep abreast regarding the latest trends and methods related to infrastructure maintenance and recommend the most appropriate operation and maintenance practice to the management in order to increase the efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Manage the development and maintenance of a robust infrastructure assets registry for DCM Master Communities.

Provide input and assist in the development and implementation of the DCM Asset Management Standards in line with the industry’s best practices and authorities’ requirements.

Represent DCM in the process of completed infrastructure projects handover from the development team to DCM and ensure smooth handover of the assets.

People Manager

Provide leadership within the function, setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing, and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance in the pursuit of the Department’s objectives.

Build and promote an organization culture that encourages innovation and reward performance that leads to enhanced staff motivation and retention.

Understanding of local regulations and laws relevant to roads, sewage treatment, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have the below qualifications and experience:

B.Sc. in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical engineering
Minimum of 8 years of infrastructure construction experience
Minimum of 4 years of infrastructure maintenance management experience
Experience of managing contractors and third-party service providers
Knowledge of Infrastructure management processes, tools, standards, documentation, and systems used
Understanding of local regulations and laws relevant to roads, sewage treatment, and infrastructure
