• Exercise a proactive approach to the prevention of a problem by interacting with Production, Engineers, and Management personnel

• Liaise with customer representatives, ensuring product conformity and stage release for each activity denoted within the Project Quality Plan/ITP

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• High school diploma or degree in relevant field of study

• 5+ years of Quality Control or discipline-related experience with a degree and 8+ with a diploma

What You'll Be Doing:

• The Electrical Inspector is a full-time position reporting to the O&M and Resident Engineer and is responsible for conducting field inspections, tests, evaluations, verifications, and documentation of the O&M Contractor’s inspections, preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance within all electrical and power systems including the electrical network, electrical substations, street lighting network, traffic control and signal systems, and power meter readings.

• Supports the Civil, Landscape and Mechanical Inspectors whenever the given equipment, system or location involves electrical or SCADA system aspects.

• Oversees the daily routine operations and maintenance works by the O&M Contractors at site and identifies any issues or required works.

• Prepares inspection reports and site records as required within the Contract or as required by the Client or PMC staff.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in inspection of Streetlighting and Electrical substations, feeder pillars, control cabinets and other electrical works such as termination, wiring, fault finding, cable laying etc. Experience in the UAE is preferred.

• Knowledge and experience in using computer software, Computerized Maintenance Management Software such as Maximo 7, FSI Concept Evolution etc.

• Strong analytic capabilities and the ability to work independently.

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.

• Commitment to safe work practices

• Valid UAE Driving License is a plus.
