Job Description

  • Monitors QA/QC core functions: measures, records and reports dimensional, functional and visual attributes as per specified requirements
  • Maintains and updates quality relevant specifications such as inspection plans, specifications, drawings and packaging instructions including its review

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Material Inspector** to join our team! In this role you will get to **perform the necessary tests, checking the arrived materials to ensure compliance with the project's requirements and specification and inspection of all used materials on site.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Will supervise all the tests and sampling on site.
+ Witness all the laboratory tests and in situ tests by contractor or third-party tester on the materials and prepare the samples for testing.
+ Coordinate with the Work Inspector in charge of the work to confirm approval of the work for testing and discuss areas of concern.
+ Perform sampling and testing in quick and efficient way to avoid undue delay to the Contractor's operations.
+ Perform regular checks of delivered materials to the site for conformance with the approved source or supplier.
+ Get involved in quality control and quality assurance.
+ Assists the Senior Work Inspector (Materials) and the Senior Materials Engineer in all activities related to review, approval, testing and acceptance of the used materials.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ **Technical Diploma** or **Degree** in a related field with a **minimum of 5+ years of experience** in similar nature or **Civil Engineering graduate** with a minimum of three (3) years' **experience** on **roads, bridges, concrete and utilities projects** .
+ Must possess the ability to read working drawings, related specifications, inspection and test plans and method statements and be capable of enforcing such specifications and contract drawings.
+ Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
+ Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.

+ Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply, to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and building codes
+ Coordinate daily with other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractors
+ Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals, taking necessary actions as required

In this role, you will get to be involved in monitoring, inspection, coordination, witnessing, and documentation of all Structural/Bridges and Tunnel works in the Project to ensure the project is constructed as per Contract requirements and specifications.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Assist the Structure Assistant Resident Engineer in performing the site duties related to the bridges, MSE wall, structural works, pump station building, & steel structure in accordance to the approved shop drawings & project specification.
+ Maintain a detailed diary of the day's work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labour and equipment used, etc., and sign at the end of each day.
+ Attend to the Work Inspection Request (WIR) submitted by the contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner.
+ Monitor the quality of works and assess the safety at site including health and environmental issues, ensuring the same complies with contract specifications, safety and health risk assessment and environmental mitigating measures respectively on a daily basis.
+ Prepare Surveillance Report(s) for deficiencies of work found at site that are believed to have failed or if the contractor is not complying with verbal instructions and subsequently complete a Site Observation Report (SOR) or Non-Conformance Report (NCR) if required in view of the development of events.
+ Provide technical input and experiences to resolve any discipline related issues on site that may arise.
+ Prepare/complete the necessary documentation prior to inspection of the Works and process accordingly following completion of the inspection.
+ Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and maintain complete record(s) concerning the execution of the works.
+ Ensures that the project quality control procedures are used for the construction supervision works and monitors it for improvement.
+ Ensure site progress information is communicated regularly.

**Job Description**
AECOM is seeking an experienced Inspector for a major Roads and Infrastructure project located in Dubai. The role involves both inspection and the supervision of roads and infrastructure works of the project. To ensure that the activities are being executed in accordance with the project specification.
**Job Duties**
+ Be familiar with the project's contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures together with any associated updates.
+ Ensure the contractor/s compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
+ Maintain records of the contractor human and equipment daily resources.
+ Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
+ Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor. This is to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site.
+ Prepare daily report to the RE or ARE. This includes works orders, materials delivery, and daily inspections program.
+ Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the RE and ARE.
+ Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
+ Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the RE or ARE for pipes alignments and levels.
+ Co-ordinate and co-operate with client project manager during their site inspections in the presence of the RE or ARE.
+ Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain relevant records.
+ Assist the ARE and RE in the preparation of any correspondences in compliance with the contract documents and site requirements.
+ Where site problems are found, work with the RE or ARE to resolve them promptly.
+ Monitor the start-up, commissioning and handover of the site works. Including maintaining records of the project milestones.
+ Maintain records of materials tests performed and executed works.
+ Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.

**Job Description:**
**Landscape Inspector**
**Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates**
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Landscape Inspector** to join our team! In this role you will get to inspect site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed landscape work and give practical advice on constructional matters.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Ensure that all construction works related to soft and hard landscaping are performed in strict accordance with the plans and specifications.
+ Maintain a detailed diary of the day's work activities, issues, work approved or rejected, hours of operation, labor and equipment used, etc., and sign at the end of each day.
+ Interface with the public, especially residents and business owners adjacent to the work, to mitigate the construction impacts.
+ Coordinate with the Contractor's foreman in charge of the work daily to check on the proper execution of the work.
+ Coordinate with the Materials Technician and arrange for sampling and testing of satisfactorily completed work, and quality assurance testing of suspect materials.
+ Report questionable methods of operation by the Contractor to the Resident Engineer.
+ Report to the Resident Engineer any failure of the Contractor to conform to plans and specifications and to provide good workmanship.
+ Process the joint measurement forms and maintain records of their status.
+ Maintain records of completed works for interim and final payment and as- built plans.
+ Maintain detailed records of work performed by the contractor on a Day Works basis.
+ Make special notes and document the Contractor's activities that may lead to claims.
+ Be fair and firm in dealings with the Contractor. Consider alternatives and consequences carefully before making decisions.
+ Issue instructions to the Foreman in charge of the work and do not argue with the Contractor or his representatives.
+ Notify the Resident Engineer of conditions that render it impractical or unreasonable to enforce the specifications.
+ Report and document any accident that occurs on site and notify the Resident Engineer immediately.
+ Enforce performance of the work in strict accordance with the approved Safety Plan.
+ Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Landscape / Agriculture Engineering.
+ Minimum 5 years of demonstrable experience in all aspects of landscaping/irrigation preferably with softscape work.
+ Must possess the ability to read working drawings and related specifications, and capable of enforcing such specifications.
+ Must be fully computer literate and able to utilize computer technology to access and maintain records, generate reports, etc.
+ Good written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with project team.
