Reports To

Job Overview

The Lead I&C Engineer-Offshore, Instrumentation & Automation is responsible for handling engineering design review and analysis assignments normally involving a major project or several smaller or less complex projects. These projects by nature of their complexity and difficulty require the fully competent application of conventional knowledge in oil & gas.

In your role, you will lead and execute multiple projects (local and international) and also be responsible for preparing instrumentation and automation engineering documents and drawings as required for the project and assigned by the Discipline Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist engineers / Design manager / Discipline Manager for the engineering design of the project.
• Ensure verification of source data, concept & FEED drawings / concepts as required.
• Deliver FEED and detailed Engineering in Brown field projects in Wellhead Towers, Process platforms, and Islands handling mechanical packages like chemical Injection packages, Biocide packages, Compressor Packages, Heater packages, Well Head Control Panel (WHCP), ESD/RTU panel, ICSS systems, Well head Oil production/Water Injection Instruments, SCADA Systems, High Integrity Pressure Protection System (HIPPS), etc.
• Align with the Mechanical team and Vendors for the Technical Evaluation for Gas Compressor packages and Heater packages compliance review.
• Review Package control systems, Anti-surge Control System, Load sharing control, and interface to plant control systems (ICSS/ VMS Systems).
• Plan the project execution to deliver within the project schedule.
• Manage the team of Engineers and designers, monitoring and controlling the Budget Manhrs.
• Prepare and finalize the engineering document deliverable register (EDDR) in coordination with all relevant departments/disciplines, ensuring submission dates meet Client/Contract requirements.
• Prepare/review design outputs in the form of design computations, drawings, and specifications.
• Review design documents, drawings, etc., issued by various disciplines and ensure Client’s approval.
• Ensure approval of all submitted documents and drawings with necessary coordination with Client.
• Overall responsible for inter-discipline coordination, submission of necessary design documents/deliverables, and procedures to the Client.
• Participate in HAZOP, SIL Study for the design as per requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Laws and Statutory Regulations, Authority, Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Requirements for the project.
• Resolve unclear issues with the Client through technical queries in coordination with inter-discipline leads and managers.
• Coordinate with procurement department to ensure procurement inputs required for design are obtained from vendors and forwarded to the design subcontractor.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and pre-commissioning.
• Coordinate for the preparation of as-built documentation.

Qualifications

• Engineering Graduate (BSc. or MSc.)
• Minimum of 15 years relevant engineering experience in Instrumentation and Automation competence in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Chemical Industries.
• Experience with FEED and detailed Engineering deliverables in Brown field projects in Wellhead Towers, Process platforms, and Islands handling mechanical packages.
• Minimum 8 years in a Senior Role.
• Telecommunication knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Must have worked in FEED and EPC projects and delivered to ADNOC Group of Companies.
• Experience with reputed Engineering Consultants would be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player, smart-working, problem solver, and can-do attitude.
• Fluent in English; Arabic speaking would be an added advantage.

**What you'll do:**
The **Electrical Design Engineer** is responsible for designing, developing and implementing low voltage electrical distribution systems, with a focus around systems engineering, automation and applications across a variety of projects, working in design software and engineering tools to provide optimized and de-risked proposals:
+ Design and develop low voltage electrical systems and components for automation projects.
+ Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
+ Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new projects.
+ Select appropriate electrical components and materials for system design.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve electrical design issues during the development and testing phases.
+ Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
+ Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for all design activities
+ Liaise and support with multiple internal stakeholders inclusive of product line management and front end solutions architects
**Qualifications:**
+ University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
**Skills:**
+ Proven experience in LV electrical design automation and system based design 5+ years
+ Proficient in using electrical design software, Eplan
+ Data centre project experience is a big advantage
+ Familiar with IEC Standards and regulations
+ Excellent problem solving skills
+ Fluent speaking and writing in English
+ Good communicator and presentation skills
+ Self-motivated and takes ownership on results
+ Works well within a fast-paced environment

**Electrical/Lighting Design Engineer**
**Dubai, UAE**
Parsons is now hiring an experienced Electrical Engineer for our expanding portfolio of projects. Parsons extensive experience in this field, combined with your engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance. We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, team oriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and organizational skills. This role is primarily to support the design functions on infrastructure and road tunnels for electrical equipment and systems. This role will apply electrical engineering techniques and analyses and the selected candidate will be proficient in electrical engineering designs and standards. You will work with electrical CAD designers to review drawings and provide technical input on drawings and specifications suitable for electrical procurement and system installation.
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Prepare electrical engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, designs, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
+ Prepare detailed requisitions for electrical equipment and related materials as well as review supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
+ Provide input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
+ Independently carry out designs of Electrical Power distribution systems and prepare electrical LV Designs, lighting designs for roads, underpass, tunnels using Dialux, Relux softwares.
+ Design of traffic signals
+ Prepare Power cable sizing calculations.
+ Prepare and deliver detailed technical powerpoint presentations for the Clients. Prepare technical design reports.
+ Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field) from an accredited institution
+ Minimum 5 years experience in electrical design of large infrastructure and road projects
+ Good experience of working with Dialux and Relux software.
+ Basic understanding of the ELV Systems such as CCTV, Access Control and ELV systems.
+ Fully conversant with the CIE 115 , CIE 140 & CIE 88 standards as well as Electricity Authority regulations such as DEWA & SEWA. region.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Approval from DM / RTA would be added advantage.
+ Experience in AutoCAD would an advantage.
