About this role:
We are seeking a Settlements Analyst to join our team based in the DIFC. The successful candidate will provide support to the UK settlements team with their daily tasks and contribute to the growth of our multi-faceted business.
Location of the role:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive, flexible approach, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities and the ability to seek assistance when necessary.
Main Responsibilities:
- Reviewing net settlement figures against own calculations to highlight any discrepancies with liquidity providers
- Analysing outstanding trade positions, identifying anomalies in trades before net settlement using Excel
- Monitoring balances across different accounts, ensuring sufficient funds for trades, payments and safeguarding
- Managing liquidity movement between settlement accounts and safeguard accounts
- Settling matured foreign exchange positions, escalation of outstanding trades
- Reconciliation of client trades and counterparty financial requirements in order to manage financial exposure;
- Agreeing on daily settlement position with liquidity provider
- Reconciliation of client fund & Safeguarded funds
- Ensuring that all client fund liabilities are safeguarded within the designated safeguarded client accounts at all times, with appropriate reconciliations/rational in place for any timing differences.
- Monitoring overall liquidity position
- Releasing approved onward payments
- Interface with Account Managers / Compliance team and external banking partners to resolve the transfer of fund challenges
- Monitoring forwards for margin call
