This role is a critical part of our warehouse operations, requiring strong organizational and communication skills to manage stock inventory, orders, and deliveries efficiently.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, accurately recording product quantities, and maintaining a safe working environment in the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities ">
  • Coordinate receipt, storage, and delivery of products according to Sales Orders and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Work closely with Warehouse Assistants to maintain correct product storage and segregation.
  • Track product movement to prevent misplacement and ensure accurate product quantities.
  • Inspect received products and sign quality forms.
  • Inform the Procurement & Logistics team of product arrival and create Item Received records on Netsuite.
  • Prepare Delivery Orders according to Sales Orders and coordinate demo deliveries with the Sales team.
  • Notify new product arrivals and existing product removals that result in shortages.
  • Assist with periodic stock inventory checks and report expired products to maintain system accuracy.
  • File Local Purchase Orders with clearance documents in designated files and respond to calls from the Sales team, customers, and suppliers as needed.
  • Prepare products for shipment with WH Assistants according to Sales Orders and ensure proper loading.
Requirements ">
  • Candidates must be based in the UAE and willing to relocate for company visa.

  • Perform quality control activities for the rolling stock retrofit scope.
  • Conduct fleet-wide inspections as per defined containment actions and monitoring scope.
  • Maintain all quality control records for retrofit activities and fleet-wide containment actions.

Responsibilities for Punch/Snag list closure:
  • Perform internal inspections to ensure punch/snag items are closed before inviting the customer.
  • Conduct final acceptance inspections with the customer on-site.
  • Update the rolling stock punch list daily.
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for punch/snag list closure, both internally and with the customer.
QualificationsEducational requirements:

University Degree in Technical/Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.

Technical Knowledge / Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality within the railway industry; rolling stock experience is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001) and quality tools.

  • Familiarity with special processes like torque tightening.
  • Verify the validity of tools, materials, and chemicals used daily by the RSK team.
  • Report any non-conformities observed during daily activities to the Quality and Subsystem Managers and follow up for their closure.
  • Initiate repair loops by reporting NCRs via the online Alstom supplier portal and follow up for supplier inputs for closure.
  • Attend internal meetings to provide updates on daily activities.
Responsibilities for Punch/Snag list closure:
  • Perform internal inspections to ensure punch/snag items are closed before inviting the customer.
  • Conduct final acceptance inspections with the customer on-site.
  • Update the rolling stock punch list daily.
  • Prepare daily/weekly progress reports for punch/snag list closure, both internally and with the customer.
Qualifications Educational requirements:

University Degree in Technical/Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering.

Technical Knowledge / Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in quality within the railway industry; rolling stock experience is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of quality standards (ISO9001) and quality tools.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word).
  • Fluent in English.

Job purpose

The Supervisor – Inventory Management is responsible for overseeing and managing inventory operations to ensure optimal equipment availability and utilization across various locations. This role supports the inventory and logistics team by tracking movements, analyzing trends, implementing cost-effective repositioning strategies, and ensuring timely and accurate updates in the system. The role requires coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders to meet operational needs and business goals.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Inventory Oversight & Optimization

  • Monitor inventory shortfalls across various locations based on projections and demand patterns.
  • Develop and implement repositioning (repo) plans to optimize inventory levels and container availability.
  • Conduct regular cost comparisons and analysis for repositioning activities to identify savings opportunities.

Container and Contract Management

  • Track and analyze aging empty containers (MTYs) and plan for effective repositioning or utilization.
  • Handle on-hire and off-hire communications with leasing companies, shipping partners, and agents.
  • File, manage, and update contracts related to inventory and logistics operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

System and Process Management

  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of inventory in the inventory management system.
  • Perform weekly comparison checks between system data and manual reports to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized records of all inventory movements, contract details, and operational updates.

Educational qualifications and experience required.

  • Graduate level education, Good computer skills (shipping software, inventory module, related logistics/ shipping/ marine certification, MS Office - Excel)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in MLO/NVOCC shipping industry within Inventory Operations
  • Strong understanding of inventory flow, port customs, leasing procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Familiarity with terminal operating systems, vessel services, and port rotations
  • Experience in handling high-volume operational procedures and reporting
