We are seeking a high-performing Associate to join our Investment Banking team with a focus on Energy & Natural Resources. This role is part of the build out of our sector team and will provide critical analytical, execution, and strategic support across a diverse range of transactions and client engagements, spanning traditional energy and commodities (oil & gas, power, metals & mining) and the fast-evolving landscape of new energies (renewables, hydrogen, transition fuels, etc.).

- Transaction Execution: Support the end-to-end execution of advisory, funding and capital markets transactions (equity and debt), including preparation of pitch books, financial models, marketing documents (e.g. teasers, info memos), and due diligence coordination.
- Sector Research & Insight: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global energy markets, including oil & gas, metals & mining, renewables, energy transition themes, and relevant regulatory frameworks. Develop sector theses and contribute to origination efforts.
- Client Support: Assist in the preparation of client presentations and internal briefing materials for strategic dialogue. Participate in client meetings as appropriate.
- Modelling & Valuation: Build and review detailed financial models for valuation, debt structuring, and scenario analysis.
- Team Collaboration: Work across functions with DCM, ECM, Syndicate, Structured Finance, Coverage, Credit, and Legal teams. Play an active role in project management, internal coordination, and maintaining high-quality deliverables under tight timelines.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to the growth and positioning of the Energy & Natural Resources franchise by helping structure thought leadership materials and supporting strategic development projects led by the head of the team and the head of investment banking.
The ideal candidate should have the following experience
- Minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience and analyst training in investment banking/corporate finance, or a related advisory environment.
- Strong exposure to the energy and/or commodities sectors is essential, with working knowledge of both traditional and new energy business models.
- Understanding of commodity trading and structured trade finance is desirable.
- Strong academic background, ideally paired with CFA Level II/III or equivalent qualification
