Job Description

The Solutions Consultant is the evolution of the traditional Sales Engineering role, aligning how we best serve our customers in understanding their environment, providing solution guidance and ensuring value realization in their investment with Palo Alto Networks. As a Solutions Consultant you provide technical leadership and expertise and guidance in your customer’s security transformation journey. The Solutions Engineer, “Pre-sales Consultant”, or “Sales Engineer”, is a technical role that is part of the sales team. A solutions engineer is a product and market expert for one or several product lines of Fortra portfolio. What You'll Do
Sales activities:

  • In close cooperation with sales representatives, work together on any activities with prospective customers
  • Conduct “pain discovery” processes to understand the customer needs and articulate a solution that best addresses those needs.
  • Develop, present and deliver high-impact demonstrations
  • Own the customer’s evaluation process of the offered products and solutions, by executing trials and proof of concepts.

Qualifications
  • KSA or UAE resident
  • Four-year Degree in a technical field, ideally Computer Science or IT is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT, technical presales, technical consultancy, development or technical support activities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cyber security, in one or more of these areas: DLP, Data Classification, or other relevant Data Governance solutions.
  • Excellent oral presentation skills, public relations skills, and the ability to educate and train in a technical environment.
  • Arabic language (native) and very good English are required. Any other language is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

You will take a hands-on approach to building customer Proof of Concepts that showcase the business value of our platform. As the technical relationship owner, you will collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business objectives and translate those into technical solutions. You will take ownership of the customer narrative, serving as the voice of the customer and acting as a liaison between the customer and our product team. Additionally, you will provide guidance on best practices for using Cohere, identify areas for improvement within the platform, and cultivate technical champions within customer organizations to drive adoption and gather feedback to enhance our products.

A typical day at Cohere might include :

Leading the technical talk track on customer calls.

Deep dives on customer problems and Cohere technology.

Designing novel enterprise solutions with bleeding-edge NLP technology.

Facilitating customer evaluations and PoC's.

Developing and documenting processes to enable the solutions architect team to scale effectively within Cohere.

Collaborating with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure our offering matches the customers' needs.

Working closely with our partners to develop a strategy for enabling and accelerating their customers.

This career opportunity is a good match for you if you have :

5+ years of customer-facing technical pre / post sales Solutions Architect (or similar) experience.

2+ years architecting or deploying NLP / AI / LLM Solutions.

A passion for Generative AI, and an understanding of strengths and weaknesses of Generative LLM's and AI technologies.

Comfortable working with Python and Jupyter Notebooks.

Excellent communication skills - you can toggle seamlessly between presenting to CEOs, and getting in the weeds or white boarding with technical audiences.

High tolerance for ambiguity.

You can identify and implement high-impact processes in unstructured environments.

Preferred : Experience with networking (firewalls, DNS, cert management, etc)

Preferred : Familiarity with authentication protocols / frameworks (SAML, OAuth, etc)

As a Splunk Presales Consultant your primary responsibilities will be to:

Write and deliver excellent presentations; both business focused and technical presentations.

Demonstrate Splunk solutions to prospects, both onsite and remotely (via Webinars).

Attend and demonstrate Splunk solutions at field events, such as conferences and trade shows.

Respond to the functional and technical elements of tender documents, such as RFIs/RFPs.

Business Knowledge and Experience

Domain knowledge and experience in any of the following areas:

Big Data (from a data management perspective),

Application Performance Management,

Security,

A knowledgeable understanding of the financial services, insurance, telecommunications and/or retails markets, with a proven track record of selling into Enterprise organisations. Needs to understand the business challenges/drivers, technology and market challenges of these types of organisations.

Ability to develop a strong understanding of each target client's business, operations and industry trends, including understanding the strategic business and technology goals. Understand the client's buying process.

Understands how Splunk's solutions can provide capabilities and benefits in order to address the client's business needs.

Ability to participate in account planning and planning meetings to identify new and follow up solution, services and education opportunities.

Ability to develop and articulate business value/ROI case studies.

Technical Knowledge and Experience

Experience working with complex application environments, with the ability to understand relevant sources of machine data, such as performance logs, application logs, audit logs, security data sources, network centric data, etc.

Detailed understanding and knowledge in the area of Log Management and analysis would also be beneficial.

Experience and strong hands-on skills with UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris, AIX), Linux and Windows operating systems.

Essential Education, Experience and Additional Skills

5+ years of Presales experience working for Enterprise Software Vendor.

In depth knowledge of UAE customers

A University degree or similar (preferably in computer science, software engineering or a similar field)

Proactive and able to be manage activities in a self-sufficient manner.

Strong communication skills, including excellent verbal and written English language skills.

Strong knowledge of the sales process.

Self-motivated with a proven track record in technical software sales and knowledge of technology.

Ability to be organised and analytical, and must be able to eliminate sales obstacles using creative and adaptive approaches.

You should be comfortable working for a dynamic, technical organisation with a rapidly expanding customer base.
