- Help shape the culture and growth of Tavily’s new international office
- Proven expertise in backend and distributed systems (Python, APIs, AWS, Kubernetes/Argo), with a strong focus on building scalable and reliable infrastructure
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI agents or RAG workflows in production environments
- Deep understanding of retrieval strategies (dense, sparse, hybrid), context optimization, and methods to reduce hallucinations
- Familiarity with modern agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or equivalent in-house systems
- Demonstrated ability to design, own, and evolve complex system architectures
- Track record of mentoring and leading multidisciplinary technical teams, setting direction and driving execution
- Experience building and operating real-time, low-latency, large-scale systems
- Strong background with databases such as Snowflake, MongoDB, and Redis
- Practical experience with cloud-native architectures on AWS, from design to deployment
- Comfortable thriving in fast-paced, high-ownership startup environments
