The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, be physically strong, and have a good understanding of cleaning equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Wash dirty wares using a dishwashing machine according to established procedures, ensuring all items are properly sanitized and clean.
- Sort cleaned wares by type, size, design, and outlet, removing any remaining food residue or stains as necessary.
- Clean all used pots, pans, and kitchen utensils thoroughly, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Polish silverware, including pieces for various functions and outlets.
- Prepare and deliver clean wares, separating damaged items and ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Collect empty bottles from kitchen areas, sort them in the bottle room, and store them in designated containers.
- Maintain sanitation and hygiene standards in both wet and dry garbage storages.
- Clean service equipment, cooling ranges, griddles, ovens, hoods, pots, pan floors, walls, reach-in, and walk-in chillers, among other kitchen equipment.
- Deliver empty trash bins to kitchen areas and collect filled bins, emptying them in the garbage room.
- Prepare equipment for outside catering events and related functions.
- Monitor the temperature of dishwashing machines, recording readings in the Temperature Control Sheet.
- Utilize cleaning detergents and chemicals responsibly, following manufacturer guidelines to prevent waste.
- Operate various machines, including dishwashers, glass washers, decarbonizers, scrubbing machines, wet vacuums, and other equipment used for cleaning purposes.
- Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a high level of personal grooming, adhering to the hotel's grooming policy.
- Report to work on time, ensuring a smooth handover of information from previous shifts.
- Participate in training sessions, meetings, and other organized events to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role, with exposure to kitchen operations.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and its proper usage.
- Ability to communicate basic English language skills.
- Physically strong and able to perform tasks requiring manual labor.
