This Position reports to:
Automation Engineering Manager
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.
You will serve as the technical lead for engineering activities in assignments classified as low to medium engineering complexity, with a specialization in Power Management Systems (PMS), Substation Control and Monitoring Systems (SCMS), or Process Control and/or Safety Systems using ABB 800xA, Symphony Plus (S+), or other ABB Control Systems. You will ensure project execution meets contractual specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. In addition to delivering excellent customer service, you will collaborate closely with customers and ABB teams to identify and pursue new service business opportunities.

This role is reporting to the Automation Engineering Manager in Abu Dhabi. Main stakeholders are customers, project managers, engineering teams (in-house and outsourced), contractors, suppliers, and commissioning/service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify engineering errors, ensuring compliance with HSE and quality standards
- Coaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations, while supporting skill development across the team
- Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on low to medium complexity projects
- Applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations
- Acting as the technical lead and design authority, evaluating and applying standard techniques to ensure engineering deliverables conform to safety and quality requirements
- Interacting with customers, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues and ensure delivery meets contractual obligations and enhances customer satisfaction
- Supporting the Project Manager in risk and opportunity assessments, identifying repeat business opportunities and supporting claims and scope management
- Performing complex field service tasks, identifying technical problems, and providing recommendations to improve system and operational performance
- Creating work plans and cost estimates in collaboration with Project Managers, ensuring timely and cost-effective project execution using standard tools and processes
- Utilizing deep knowledge of ABB products (especially ABB 800xA, Symphony Plus, and IEC 61850) to act as a focal point for customer support and contribute to service business development
Qualifications:
- You are highly skilled in ABB 800xA/Symphony Plus (S+), PMS/SCMS or ICSS systems and have experience working with automation solutions in the Oil & Gas and Power & Water sectors
- You are proficient in interface configuration using industrial protocols like IEC 61850, Modbus, Profibus, OPC, IEC 101, IEC 104, Profibus, between ABB automation systems and third-party systems or field devices as applicable
- You have over 5 years of experience in the automation field, working as a PMS/SCMS or ICSS Engineer with ABB control systems and industrial communication protocols
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of ABB 800xA with AC 800M, Symphony Plus, and industrial networking and cybersecurity solutions for control systems
- You are passionate about customer collaboration and problem solving, and have good communication skills
- Degree in Engineering with demonstrated expertise in automation systems and process applications across the Oil & Gas and Power & Water industries
- You are at ease communicating in English with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders
- You hold current certifications and are proficient in tools like ABB PCM600 and Relion Series relays (for PMS/SCMS), or certified as a TUV Functional Safety Engineer (for ICSS), where applicable

Job Description
We are looking for Cybersecurity Engineer (CE) to be responsible for technical execution / delivery of securitysolutions to customers.
While executing a Schneider Electric security solution, the CE will representSchneider Electric as a technical leader with the proficiency to implement technical security solutions. Solutions will be composed of key elements that meet the customer needs.
The CE will manage the implementation of solutions, perform site visits to maintain the security solution, provide security training,and consult on security matters when required.
The CE will ensure that the security infrastructure required to support Schneider Electric applications is in place.
The CE may also function as a requirements analyst and serve as the conduit between the customer and the Schneider Electric Delivery Organization. The CE will be required to evaluate existing and new technologies to determine their applicability and value for inclusion in the Schneider Electric security solutions, and communicate his or her thoughts to the UAE Cybersecurity Operations Manager or the Global Cybersecurity Director. Responsibilities :
- Work with the product manager or project sponsor to successfully implement the Schneider Electric Security solutions and associated application
- Configuration of any approved host and network security solutions
- Configuration of Network Performance Monitoring and Management solutions
- Oversee any required modification or reconfiguration of network elements
- Manage installation and connectivity testing of the security solutions
- Lead application acceptance testing (from a security perspective)
- Develop and deliver end user training
- Develop and deliver technical documentation as required
- Technical research to meet security solution requirements Credentials :
- 5+ years of experience in OT Industrial Control System
- 8+ years performing the installation and / or management of network-based firewalls, preferably Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper or another top-tier product.
- 8+ years performing network troubleshooting using sniffers and monitors.
- 8+ years performing the installation and / or management of network-based Intrusion Detection products.
- 8+ years advanced systems administration (Windows Active Directory)
- 8+ years of experience in implementing Host-based security technologies (Antivirus, Data Leakage Prevention, Host IPS, Whitelisting)
- 8+ years of experience in implementing system backup technologies
- Understanding of high-availability networking technologies
- Experience working in a mixed environment of both standard TCP / IP and nonstandard networking protocols
- Experience in developing, evaluating, implementing Security Policy and Procedures
- Experience with the Schneider Electric product line and Industries is desirable but not essential
- Experience with LAN, WAN and technologies
- Facilitation skills to lead requirements discovery workshops and project scope change requirements
- Interviewing skills to talk with individuals and groups about their Security needs and ask the right questions to reveal essential requirements information and what customers might be hesitant to say
- Analytical skills to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements
- Observational skills to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation
- Writing skills to communicate information effectively to customers, Project Managers, and technical staff
- Organizational skills to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis to cope with rapidly changing information and be able to apply this
- Interpersonal skills, to help negotiate customer priorities and to resolve conflicts among project stakeholder Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in a computer related field
- Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security)
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- ISA99 or IC32-34 related OT certification Competencies :
- Independent, self-sufficient, able to work alone without direct supervision.
- Capable of taking full responsibility for executing tasks, sometimes at remote locations.
- Confident in customer project environment.
- Able to show initiative, make quick decisions, and follow through to a conclusion.
