Key Responsibilities:

    • Advise on the full project lifecycle including development construction financing and operations.

      • Draft review and negotiate a wide range of legal documents including project finance agreements joint venture agreements EPC contracts and O&M agreements and related commercial agreements.

        • Support clients with structuring financing and risk management strategies for largescale infrastructure and energy projects.

          • Assist clients in navigating the legal landscape in the Middle East with a focus on the regulatory environment for energy and infrastructure developments.

            • Work closely with crossfunctional teams to provide integrated legal advice and ensure compliance with local regulations including those related to licensing permitting and environmental standards.

              • Collaborate with senior lawyers and partners in delivering innovative legal solutions for clients.

              Experience and Skills:

              • 25 years of PQE in a reputable law firm or inhouse legal department with a focus on energy and infrastructure projects.

                • Strong experience in development and/or project financing including familiarity with international financing structures and instruments.

                  • Proven expertise in drafting negotiating and advising on complex energy infrastructure and project financing agreements.

                    • Indepth understanding of the legal and regulatory framework for energy and infrastructure projects in the Middle East.

                      • Fluency in English is ; Arabic speaking and drafting skills are a significant advantage.

Youll support our clients with all aspects of audit readiness voluntary disclosure and clarifications requests assistance during tax audit and formalities of drafting and submitting a reconsideration and appeal letters to the relevant authorities.

Role Main Responsibilities:
This role supports the wider tax function within the indirect tax business unit along with largescale crossfunctional business process this regard successful candidates must be able to demonstrate professional experience and/or a proven record of success with regards to the following:

  • Knowledge about the tax litigation system and underlying procedures in the GCC mainly the UAE.
  • Adequate understanding of the UAE tax administrative penalties and application in different scenarios.
  • Handson experience in guiding clients to understand their rights available options for tax litigation and the processes involved for the resolution of their disputes.
  • Assisting clients throughout the appeal process from preparing reconsideration/waiver letters to the tax authorities and appeals to Committees and Courts both in Arabic and English.
  • Experience dealing with legal counsels and coordinating with them throughout the appeal process with Committees and Courts is a plus.
  • Advising clients on the tax controversy service offerings and ability to develop client relationships and driving new business opportunities.
  • Providing high quality service deliverables while maintaining budgetary and time constraints.

Legal Services Expert

  • We are seeking legally qualified professionals with 5+ years PQE, relevant experience from top-tier international law firms, specializing in Corporate & Commercial.
  • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic is an asset.
  • Residents in the UAE, with GCC/Golden/Spousal/Freelancer visa holders, and available to start assignments at short notice.

You will have a hands-on approach, be able to use your initiative, and manage relationships effectively. You will need to be adaptable, provide commercial solutions across various environments, and have the ability to work with leading global corporations while receiving continuous support to build your career.
