**Job Description**
AECOM are looking for a highly experienced Design Manager responsible for managing design and technical documentation delivered by external consultants, to ensure alignment with the client's brief, budget, and quality standards to join one of their prestigious projects in Dubai.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mixed-use and commercial developments, with deep expertise in design, design review, QA/QC, BIM coordination, material finishes and specifications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Act as the client's design management representative throughout all project phases.
+ Review and evaluate all design packages and complete technical documentation submitted by consultants - including Architectural, ID, Landscape, Signage & Wayfinding, Lighting, etc.
+ Ensure alignment of design with the client's brief, budget constraints, and quality standards to ensure integrated and cohesive design outcomes.
+ Ensure compliance with consultants scope requirements.
**Preferred Experience:**
+ Strong portfolio of large scale mixed-use and commercial developments in the UAE.
+ Proven ability to manage and ensure coordinated, quality design is developed and delivered by multidisciplinary design teams.
+ Familiarity with local authority codes and processes.
+ Project execution experience, with a good understanding of construction processes and quality control is a plus.

+ Sound knowledge of principles of hydrology and hydraulics.
+ Experience of designing culverts, urban drainage systems and highway drainage is required.
+ Demonstrated understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling/design software packages used in the design of surface drainage, piped networks, cross drainage, and flood analysis, i.e., CAD skills, SWMM, HEC RAS, and HEC-HMS knowledge.
+ Experience with Infoworks ICM would be an added advantage.
+ Excellent command with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microstation.
+ The capability of mathematics to create calculation sheets and perform further calculations where required to ensure the design is appropriate.
+ Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Design (SuDS).
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ A collegiate, team-player attitude.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Master's Degree in Water Engineering/Hydrology would be an advantage.
