Key Responsibilities:

The Opportunity
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to provide effective support at the reference desk, assisting students, faculty, and staff in locating appropriate information resources.
This position is responsible for performing higher-level paraprofessional functions and entry-level professional activities. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty, staff, and students, requiring knowledge of print and electronic resources as well as reference tools.
Responsibilities include maintaining daily library services operations, performing tasks within established guidelines and procedures, and assisting students and faculty with the selection and creation of relevant materials for assignments.
Key responsibilities also include providing instructions and technical support to library users in the use of library materials, computers, and equipment, as well as participating in library programming committees, training, scheduling of classes, and special activities.
The Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a relevant field, along with a minimum of 2 years of library experience or an equivalent combination of education, skill, or experience.
- Experience with using electronic resources and Information Technology skills.
- Willingness to work alone, serving both male and female library users during library operation hours as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
