Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–3 years’ experience operating light machinery or in similar roles.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor inspections and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable working outdoors and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication in English; UAE/local regulations or licensure (e.g., RTA Light Manual) may be required.

Job Description
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: The Service Engineer (Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Technician) will be part of the wider Engineering Service team that is responsible for attending breakdowns and carrying out fault-finding, diagnostics, servicing and repairs to a variety of electric powered access machines. Planned preventative Maintenance (PPMs) will also be a part of the daily duties. As well as being stationed at your assigned depot workshop, the Service Engineer may work outside of normal depot hours, perform repair and maintenance at clients’ sites or travel outside of assigned depot city for the occasional project at our other depot locations in the GCC. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Carry out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) of machines in the depot/workshop • Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs, informing internal teams of estimated repair times • Perform routine and preventative planned maintenance (PPM) within the depot • Prepare machines for handover, ensuring they are safe, fully operational, and meet all company standards • Ensure machines are left in a safe condition after work is completed, meeting quality assurance requirements • Assist the Service Manager or Supervisor in providing verbal estimates for repairs or maintenance • Maintain appropriate stock levels within the depot to support timely servicing and repairs • Accurately complete and submit all relevant paperwork, including part requisition forms, engineer reports, off-hire documents, PDI, and service sheets • Update internal systems to reflect machine status changes (e.g., PDI completed, machine under repair, statutory inspection completed) • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard of safety, quality, and professionalism • Collaborate with internal teams to support excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and ensure correct use of uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) • Responsible for understanding and practicing appropriate safety procedures as follows: • Act as safely at work as you would elsewhere, if not more so • Use the tools available to you to maintain a safe environment • Participate in the safety training programme to educate yourself on hazards, safety practices, and rules • Communicate about unsafe practices and conditions • Always follow safety rules and regulations
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The chosen candidate will meet ALL the essential criteria below: ESSENTIAL • High school education, vocational qualification or above • Previous experience working on mobile access equipment or similar other mobile plant machinery equipment such as: - powered access equipment e.g. cherry pickers, scissor lifts, propelled booms and hoists. - diggers - drilling equipment - dumpers - excavators - forklifts - ground-care machinery - plant machinery - power generators - rollers - telehandlers • Strong track record in machine, equipment and diesel engine fault finding / diagnostics, servicing, repair and maintenance • Able to read electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematic drawings • Able to work to Health & Safety regulations and comply with all company policies and procedures • A valid driving license DESIRABLE: • IPAF demonstrator license • Knowledgeable of the Oman geographical area

We are seeking a skilled Welder cum Denter with proven experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding, denting, and fabrication work to restore and maintain the structural integrity of machinery and vehicles used in heavy-duty operations.
Key Responsibilities:Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication tasks on heavy equipment parts and body structures.
Repair dents, cracks, and damaged components on machinery, trucks, and other heavy vehicles.
Align and straighten frames, panels, and body structures to factory standards.
Conduct preventive maintenance checks on equipment bodywork and report defects.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for repair and welding work.
Select appropriate welding equipment, materials, and techniques for each task.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all repair activities.
Maintain tools, welding machines, and work areas in good condition.
Collaborate with mechanics and technicians for comprehensive equipment repairs.

Experience in repairing and maintaining trucks, earth-moving machinery, or heavy vehicles.

Physically fit and capable of handling heavy-duty repair work.
