Key Responsibilities
- Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding and milling & turning.
- Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
- Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
- Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Load and unload raw materials and equipment.
- Record all machine related actions by completing production and quality logs, keeping detailed records for equipment and procedures.
- Perform necessary maintenance, Coolant Monitoring and cleaning of equipmentdaily.
- Inspect finished product to ensure that results of machining process align with clientexpectations.
- Communicate effectively logistics issues that arise in the process of producing apart.
- Conduct regular CNC machineassessments.
- Remove tabs, perform Deburring and engraving as per Work Instructions.
- Perform general machine trouble shooting to minimize down time.
- Perform In- Process Measurement and Visual Inspection to ensure the quality of product meets customer requirements.
- Fill in all controlled required documents and SFC data entry including down time on daily basis.
- Monitor scrap levels against the parts produced under your responsibility and highlight if levels exceed average.
- Set up cutting tools as per Cutting tool list, using a heat shrink fit, dynamic tool balancer, to ensure tools are in line with the drawing requirement.
- Changeover for all jobs in legacy production.
- Verify operations or sequences to ensure completion and accuracy, by stamping the relevant shop traveler sequence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Trade School Accreditation/High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certificate or diploma in Engineering is an advantage.
- Abide by company safetyguidelines.
- Work productively and efficiently.
- Maintain housekeeping and 5S under the area of responsibility.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a CNC Milling machine operator or CNC Machinist in Machining /Manufacturing Industry.
- Proven experience translating mechanical documents and engineeringdrawings.
