ROLE OVERVIEW

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to guest requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure they are in good working order.
• Perform visual inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks as required.
• Identify and operate shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs for buildings.
• Maintain inventory levels and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and issues with other team members using approved communication programs and standards.
• Display knowledge and ability to acquire knowledge in areas such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and thorough cleanup of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair all types of equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items.
• Program TVs and handle inventory duties related to housekeeping and engineering.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before maintenance.
• Perform repairs on landscaping and sprinklers.
• Display basic computer skills for inputting schedules and making temperature adjustments.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting is preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is an asset.
• A driver's license is required.
