The Quality Control Officer plays a critical role in ensuring that all products—apparel and non-apparel—meet defined quality and compliance standards. This role is responsible for creating detailed product specifications, evaluating samples, performing random quality checks, and coordinating with factories, third-party labs, and internal stakeholders. The officer supports quality operations across the full product development lifecycle, contributing to GMG’s commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Product Quality & Specification Management
- Develop and maintain product specifications, technical packs, and measurement charts.
- Evaluate submitted samples to ensure alignment with approved specifications, construction quality, and performance benchmarks.
- Conduct random quality checks at warehouses and stores to assess product consistency and market readiness.
- Validate product dimensions, fit, construction, and overall compliance with tolerances.
Compliance & Testing Coordination
- Review and verify factory compliance documents and certifications (e.g., SASO, GSO, ISO).
- Coordinate with factories and third-party labs for testing procedures, sample submissions, and report validation.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining Quality SOPs for both internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration & QA Support
- Work closely with Design, Product Development, and Sourcing teams to ensure accurate quality inputs from early development to final production.

Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate degree or diploma in Textile Technology, Apparel Production, Fashion Technology, or a related technical field.
- Certified training in AQL, ISO, or similar quality/compliance standards is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in quality control or assurance roles.
- Preferably with recent experience in sportswear, athleisure, or retail brands.
- Hands-on experience with vendor quality evaluation, sample review, and product inspections.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of AQL norms, global and region-specific quality/compliance requirements (e.g., SASO).

About you and this role:
Provides detailed knowledge of the High Pressure tubular LDPE technology ,UNIGILITY, and UNIPOLTM manufacturing process technology in project design, construction, commissioning, start-up, and post start-up phase. Provides comprehensive, integrated Technical & Operations Support for UNIGILITY and UNIPOLTM licensing sales, client project implementation, long term client services and other Univation Technologies Licensing Activities. Requires specialized depth and breadth of expertise within the job discipline or field.
Responsibilities:
New License Sales
+ Collaborate with Commercial Managers, the New Technology Licensing Manager, and the Technology Delivery Team in UT, as well as the Dow Team when necessary to provide technical and operational insights, support sales related disclosures, coordinate plant visits for potential clients, and assist with other activities related to securing new licenses.
+ Contribute to and review the technical and operational components of license agreements to ensure accuracy and alignment with licensing goals.
+ Support the evaluation of client warranty requirements in relation to process and product performance. Provide guidance to the Licensing Manager on the potential risks and advantages of proposed licensing terms or warranties.
Implementation of Licensee Projects
+ Establish and maintain strong working relationships with operations counterparts at assigned licensee organizations.
+ Coordinate the transfer of operations technical data and documentation for assigned new projects. This includes but is not limited to: responding to licensee inquiries on operational topics, participating in design review meetings with Licensee &/or engineering contractor, organizing Operations Training session, delivering Typical Operating Procedures, and overseeing all aspects of pre-start-up and start-up activities, including warranty test runs.

Post Start-up Client Support and Continuing Know-How Support
+ Represent the Manufacturing function on the Regional Client Teams, contributing to the development and execution of client strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

Business and Functional Excellence
+ Lead or contribute to work process improvement initiatives or business interface projects as required. This may include developing or updating standard sales disclosure or contract materials, representing Licensing Manufacturing in the Licensing Information Flow process, enhancing technical deliverables (eg., documenting new operations technology for the Technology Manual), and participating in Technology Improvement projects.

Qualifications:
+ A minimum of a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering is required. A discipline in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
+ A minimum of 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience required.
+ A minimum of 5 years design and manufacturing experience in the petrochemical industry, specifically on Gas Phase PE and Tubular HDPE technologies required.

The High-Speed Balancing Operations Leader will have technical knowledge and experience working with GE / Alstom / O'OEM large Generators. They will be responsible and fully involved for the balancing, repairs, maintenance and daily operations of the Generator cell.
**Job Description**
**What you'll do;**
+ This position is responsible for providing leading and technical support to the Generator business segment within the Jebel Ali Service Center to drive safety, quality, delivery and cost results in the repair and service of power generation equipment.
+ Position responsibilities include providing accurate and detailed job planning, process instructions and procedures and technical oversight of work in process. Interfacing with working leaders & winder/Technician craftsman as necessary to ensure quality and timely execution of work.
+ The position is responsible for tracking job details, inspection data, technical results and preparing intermediate and final report documentation. Responsible for interfacing with Engineering, Product Services, sourcing, logistics and internal & external customer personnel as needed to ensure quality results and to achieve superior customer service.
+ Ensure all balancing and testing procedures comply with standards, specifications, and internal requirements and provide technical explanations, reports, and recommendations based on test results.
+ Responsible to maintain optimal cost productivity through effective Lean and Six Sigma process improvements.
+ Responsible to drive all EHS programs, mandatory routine inspection, and review of EHS documents.
+ Responsible to ensure that equipment and tools are in good condition for use. Ensure instrumentation, and control systems are properly maintained and calibrated.
+ Propose plans for preventive maintenance and corrective action.
+ Responsible to handle and maintain contractor cost as per operation plan for the cell.
+ Lead, train, mentor and develop a team of technicians on balancing, vibration analysis, and testing methodologies.
+ Assign tasks and ensure the team adhere to safety and performance standards.
+ Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.

**What you'll bring (Basic Qualifications);**
+ Bachelor's Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university Engineering or relevant background
+ Significant experience of working with generator rotor high speed balancing (above 20MW), and dynamic electrical testing & Thermal Stability testing.
+ Experienced with the use of Quasar, SCADA system and strong experience with vibration analysis in the High-Speed Balancing and testing facility.
+ Familiarity with test facility operations, instrumentation, and safety systems.
+ Strong verbal and written skills in English.
