Role Overview

As part of an ambitious regional growth strategy the company is seeking a dynamic well-networked Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive the commercial expansion of its Port Agency Services across Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

This senior-level revenue-generating role will spearhead the push beyond the companys current regional base targeting clients in the oil & gas offshore dry docking and project logistics sectors. Candidates must bring robust commercial expertise and a strong network of decision-makers across shipowners dry docks and port authorities in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to expand marine agency business in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

  • Identify and convert new commercial opportunities across shipowners EPC contractors dry docks and project cargo stakeholders.

  • Leverage existing relationships to build a qualified sales pipeline.

  • Promote the companys suite of marine agency services including:

    • Port Agency & Husbandry

    • Dry Docking Support

    • Crew Handling & Visa Assistance

    • Bunker Supply & Ship Spares Logistics

  • Maintain strong visibility with key port authorities and shipyard operators in strategic locations.

  • Manage the full commercial lifecycle from prospecting and negotiation to onboarding and account management.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on market intelligence competitor insights and commercial forecasts.

Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in marine agency services offshore logistics or port operations.

  • Existing network of shipowners vessel managers and marine stakeholders in Dubai and/or Abu Dhabi.

  • Proven track record of managing complex relationship-led sales processes.

  • Prior experience working with tug & barge operators ASVs jack-up barges or dry docks is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with non-tender commercial models and ad-hoc port agency support.

We are seeking an experienced professional to assume the role of Maritime Operations Specialist . This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maritime office and vessel operations, ensuring seamless coordination with internal departments and external stakeholders.

  • Verify vessel cash accounts and provide cash supplies at various worldwide ports.
  • Analyze tariff comparisons for each country, maintaining a log of previous queries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Invoice vessel owners' costs separately to vessel managers or TC owners, ensuring accurate billing and revenue recognition.
  • Perform periodic reconciliation and processing of equipment and consumables costs.
  • Conduct quarterly voyage reconciliations, addressing open issues to meet target closure times.
  • Develop and maintain document control processes for efficient management, and assist with reporting, documentation, trade budget preparation, and other tasks as needed.
Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping/maritime industry, preferably with a qualified accountant background.
  • Thorough knowledge of maritime accounting, specifically oil tanker and LPG carrier experience within marine/shipping/oil and gas industry.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, with a strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic languages, both verbal and written.
