Our Multi National Design & Engineering Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced Consultant (Senior) Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Dubai to work on new build villas, mansions and residential apartment projects. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Consultant Mechanical Engineer working on similar projects in the UAE performing design review and site coordination & supervision. Only candidates with a track record of working for recognised supervision consultants or PMC Companies will be considered. This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 18-24 month contract position hire as an outsource, employed by J10 Consulting. Key Responsibilities: The ‘Mechanical Engineer’ will be responsible for providing technical support to the Resident Engineer and for reviewing, monitoring, inspecting and supervising all Mechanical Works for the construction phase of the Project. He/She shall have the responsibility for checking that the Contractor’s Works are carried out in accordance with the Contract. He/She will also be responsible for managing and other members of the Engineer’s staff (assistants and inspectors). • Coordination with Structural / Architectural / Electrical Disciplines. • Coordination with Contractor / Sub-Contractors for accuracy and sequencing of works. • Reviewing Contractor’s proposals for Mechanical Installations in coordination with requirements for other disciplines. • Providing advice on placement / routing of mechanical services to meet requirements from other disciplines. • Coordinating Design issues with H.O. Requirements
• BSc Minimum in Mechanical Engineering • 8-10 years minimum of experience with at least 2 in a recognised PMC or supervision consultancy company • Previous experience working on villas, mansions and residential apartment build projects is required • Strong design review and supervision engineer experience • In-depth knowledge of local design standards and working experience with local authorities technical and legal requirements • Strong communication, stakeholder and client management skills in a client facing role
