The Market Access Manager role will design and implement strategies and programs which are aligned to the commercial priorities of the company and enable inclusion of the products of the company and its principals in all relevant health insurance providers in the UAE. He/she shall express good understanding of HEOR. He/she shall express good understanding of HEOR. He/she shall express good understanding of HEOR. He/she builds and maintains excellent relationships with all relevant stakeholders in the UAE health insurance market to anticipate future trends in the reimbursement environment that could impact the products of the company and its principals and advises on preventive action plans.
Manage and facilitate health insurance inclusion for the products of the company and its principals.
- Build and maintain a central database on general reimbursement inclusion eligibility and criteria for all major health insurance providers in the UAE.
- Pro-actively advise the company and its principals of any products aspects that directly or indirectly impact reimbursement eligibility (composition pricing etc.).
- Develop and implement strategies and plans to assure inclusion of the products of the company and its principals in relevant plans of all major health insurance companies in the UAE.
- Assure products are included at the desired price levels and anticipates / prevents downwards price revisions.
- When appropriate collaborate with principals and their local market access teams and support them as required.
Manage relationship with health insurance providers
- Build and maintain healthy & effective relationships with all relevant health insurance providers and other relevant industry stakeholders (e.g. authorities and other decision-makers).
- Serve as the health insurance subject matter expert of the company advising on local regulations needs trends and other market developments that could impact the products of the company and its principals.
Product Pricing and Coding
- Advice the company and its principals on ideal pricing strategy enabling inclusion in desired health insurance plans.
- Support the regulatory affairs team in obtaining registration and pricing approvals as well as reimbursement codes (DDC Greenrain etc).
- Develop and implement cost effective analysis (CEA) when it is required.
Qualifications :
University degree in medicine pharmacy or a related scientific field
Additional Information :
- 4-5 years of relevant work experience in the UAE pharmaceutical industry with exposure to insurance-related task
OR - 4-5 year of work experience in a health insurance provider in the UAE
Skills & Professional Requirements:
- Understanding of the countrys pharmaceutical market environment and health insurance system.
- Excellence knowledge of the reimbursements system health insurance policies and inclusion criteria.
- Existing strong relationships with key stakeholders of all major health insurance providers in the UAE.
- Excellent communication and negotiations skills
- Fluency in English Arabicis an advantage
