Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of MarTech to lead the strategic vision, execution, and scaling of our marketing technology ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of Growth Engineering, this role is pivotal in connecting marketing, data, and engineering through the use of modern SaaS platforms, CRM and CDP systems, AI tools, and campaign automation frameworks.
As a critical technology partner to Marketing, Growth, and Product leadership, you will own the full martech stack—spanning personalization, customer engagement, attribution, privacy, and experimentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the MarTech Strategy & Stack : Lead the development, procurement, and integration of our MarTech ecosystem—including platforms like Braze, Segment, Salesforce, and CDPs —ensuring end-to-end customer journey enablement.
- Build Scalable CRM and Automation Systems : Oversee the implementation and evolution of multi-channel CRM platforms , driving engagement, retention, and personalization at scale.
- Drive AI & Data-Driven Innovation : Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to implement AI-powered campaign orchestration, content targeting , and real-time experimentation frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technology counterpart to Marketing, Performance, and Commercial teams, ensuring systems are aligned with GTM strategies and growth goals.
- Governance, Privacy & Compliance : Act as a strategic advisor on data privacy, legal, and compliance matters within the martech stack—ensuring safe, auditable, and secure data practices.
- Vendor Management & Procurement : Lead RFPs, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships across the martech stack to maximize ROI and operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership & Culture Building : Hire and grow a high-performing Martech engineering and operations team. Promote an inclusive, business-aligned, and automation-first culture .
- Performance Measurement & Attribution: Implement tooling and processes to measure campaign performance, refine attribution models, and deliver clear visibility to marketing and finance teams.
Desired Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Martech, CRM, and SaaS implementations, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven track record driving large-scale CRM/CDP rollouts , ideally with platforms such as Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, MParticle, Segment, or similar .
- Strong understanding of customer journey mapping, omni-channel activation, and lifecycle marketing .
- Experience working with AI-powered personalization, recommendation systems , and data-driven campaign tools.
- Demonstrated success building and leading cross-functional teams , especially across tech and marketing.
- Clear understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to data and marketing automation (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Other Capabilities:
- Background in B2C product or consumer platform companies , ideally in e-commerce, gaming, media, or marketplaces.
- Experience driving global martech deployments across multiple brands or business units.
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with evolving business needs.

Job Description
This role supports both the Marketing and Paid Media teams by managing the tools, platforms and resources they use. This role ensures teams have everything they need to run campaigns effectively, from setting up platforms and tracking links to troubleshooting issues and providing training. By maintaining and improving our marketing systems, you’ll help the teams achieve their goals and deliver great results.
Key Responsibilities
Search & social platform management
- Configure and manage Google tools, including Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads and Ad Manager across all event websites.
- Setup ‘key events’ for goal conversion tracking in Google Analytics e.g. visitor registrations, exhibiting enquiries, form downloads etc.
- Set up and manage third-party banner advertising across event websites using Google Ad Manager, generating statistical reports for teams.
- Configure and manage Business Ad Accounts across social platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Snapchat and others
- Manage paid media setup with external agencies; implementing advertising experiments and sharing full insight into campaign activities and results.
- Advise our internal creative / graphics team on optimal social and display ad creation, including feedback of what has worked, what hasn’t from previous campaigns.
- To create, maintain and evolve an advertising measurement framework to evaluate our performance, ensuring paid media is generating business results.
- Working alongside our in-house development team to maintain a best in class integration of ad platforms across the marketing technology stack - including GTM x Ad Platforms (Server-to-Server), CRM x Meta linkage, etc.
- Manage the social media page setup approval process to prevent duplicate pages and ensure proper integration with Business Ad Accounts.
- Support Paid Media Specialists with ad account setups and tracking script installations.
- Set up and connect ad accounts with the software used for marketing to track conversions.
- Enable post boosting access for marketers.
- Manage paid media setup with external agencies to ensure full insight into campaign activities and results.
- Verify and manage social profile verifications (e.g., blue tick on X, Instagram).
UTM Management & Support
- Maintain UTM tools, documentation and training for marketers to track campaign effectiveness.
- Ensure UTM tracking is being implemented consistently and correctly, flagging risks if conversions lack tracking links.
- Manage tracking scripts across 3rd party sites/web pages such as registration forms and event platforms like Grip.
Marketing tech setup & management
- Set up and maintain smaller marketing platforms and tools (not including enterprise level software) e.g., website pop-ups, survey tools, social plug-ins, news monitoring tools etc., to ensure access, ease of use, functionality and optimal usage by marketing teams.
- Keep up to date and inform teams on new feature releases that have benefit to the business.
- Monitor platform usage to ensure teams are leveraging solutions to their full potential, highlighting areas of underutilization.
- Oversee supplier/tool contracts and renewals.
- Conduct regular supplier check-ins to identify beneficial updates and share them with teams.
- Troubleshoot supplier-related issues promptly.
Training & Support
- Train marketing teams on marketing tech and best practices such as how to set up UTM tracking links, how to create pop-ups, etc.
- Share insights, wins and learnings with teams to maximize the impact of marketing tools and resources.
- Host monthly onboarding sessions for new starters.
- Handle aspects of the new starter/leaver process.
Record Keeping & Other Tasks
- Maintain platform configuration records, central documents and login credentials.
- Support ‘new show’, cancellation and other such checklists.
Technical skills
- A minimum of 5 years' experience managing marketing platforms, tracking tools and troubleshooting technical issues is required.
- Highly proficient with certification in Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Ad Manager and Ads.
- Experience with social media ad platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Snapchat).
- Familiarity with website testing tools and practices (e.g., stress testing, responsiveness, security).
- Knowledge of tracking scripts and UTM management.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website CMS systems.
