A Spa Therapist plays a vital role in providing exceptional spa experiences for our guests. Key responsibilities include offering professional body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice, and tours of the facilities.
Some of the key tasks you will perform include:
- Attending training sessions and departmental meetings as required
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the department
- Reporting any maintenance issues to the Recreation Manager
- Assisting with various operations as requested by the Recreation Manager
- Staying up-to-date on current and future services offered by the hotel
- Ensuring adherence to departmental guidelines, maximizing revenue and minimizing expenses
- Providing efficient guest service from arrival to check-out, including booking, changing, and canceling appointments, and upselling retail
- Scheduling all massage reservations, changes, confirms, and cancels accurately
- Processing billing and posting for spa and retail services, reporting any overages and shortages to the Recreation Manager
- Explaining treatment menus and packages to guests clearly
- Greeting and welcoming incoming and outgoing guests and staff according to brand standards
- Maintaining the quality of service and overall appearance of locker areas, lounge area, and restrooms
- Ensuring proper cleanliness of locker room, lounge, steam/sauna room, prep room, and restrooms
- Stocking water and other beverages and setting up and breaking down beverage and fruit stations
- Assisting guests and providing personal training sessions as needed
- Maintaining the fitness center, ensuring equipment is well-maintained and coordinating with the representative for updates

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language effectively
- Ability to communicate effectively with groups of customers or employees
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations
- At least 1 year of experience in the spa or hospitality industry is preferred

**POSITION SUMMARY**
Provide massage services to guests using props and/or products. Provide body treatments to guests using body scrubs, wraps, and/or hydrotherapy. Assess guest needs and inquire about contraindications (e.g., allergies, high blood pressure, and pregnancy) before beginning service. Keep up to date with current techniques and modalities related to their field of work. Escort guests to and from treatment rooms. Arrange workstation, treatment room, and/or drapes. Frequently check with guest to promote comfort, safety and security throughout service. Promote and sell spa/salon services including retail offerings related to the Spa. Clean, maintain, and sterilize tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstation and/or treatment room throughout shift, dispose of trash and dirty linens, and secure supplies and equipment at the end of each shift. Handle inappropriate guest behavior by following Marriott International standard operating procedures for Inappropriate conduct for guests and therapists, leading up to and including stopping a treatment or service and informing supervisor/manager. A Spa Therapist is responsible for providing professional treatments and services for guests, including but not limited to body and facial treatments, massages, home care advice and tour of the facilities. **What will I be doing?**
As a Spa Therapist, you are responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

+ Greet and welcome all incoming and outgoing guests and staff in accordance to brand Standards
