· Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience working with materials in aerospace, defense, or electronic warfare applications. Strong background in advanced materials, including composites, metals, ceramics, and polymers used in high-performance aerospace systems.
Knowledge & Skills:
· Expertise in material properties and behavior under various environmental conditions (temperature, pressure, radiation, corrosions, etc.).
· Familiarity with material testing standards and methodologies.
· Experience with electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) in the context of aerospace and EW systems.

**Job Description**
The Material Engineer ensures conformance to high level of quality, performance, safety and/or code requirements by performing site and material monitoring duties. In addition, the role involves both inspection and the supervision of works on infrastructure projects particularly related with all materials inspection and laboratory testing. Once tasks are completed, results and recommendations are reported back to the Quality Manager for action to be approved.

+ Perform daily monitoring of site activities towards set requirements of the related documentation
+ Perform daily monitoring on delivered, stored and used material related to the site activities
+ Perform daily monitoring against the design related to the executed works on site
+ Ensure compliance with the project requirements is maintained by all involved parties
+ Verify activity compliance towards the applicable Project Quality plan (PMC & Contractor)
+ Issue and follow up on non-compliances through the Site NCR process
+ Liaise closely with Contractor and PMC Operations Team on site related issues
+ Provide guidance to the PMC Operations Team on Site NCR issues, including the CAPA and follow up thereof
+ Assist the PMC Operations Team with Method Statement, ITP and material reviews
+ Participate in punch lists, testing and commissioning monitoring and verification
+ Attend package related meetings to present and discuss site quality related issues
+ Track QA progress and identify issues and potential trends, including Quality Alerts
+ Provide written weekly and/or ad hoc quality reports to the Quality Manager and Project Manager.
+ Having good experience in landscape, roads, sewerage, water, irrigation & storm water materials.
+ Be familiar with the project's detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures together with any associated updates.
+ Ensure the contractor/s compliance with the standards and specifications of the contract documents.
+ Maintain records of the contractor human and equipment daily resources.
+ Undertake all site supervision and inspections when required or instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or the Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).
+ Liaise and daily follow up with the contractor. This is to ensure the contractor is managing its resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on the site.
+ Prepare daily report to the RE or ARE. This includes works orders, materials delivery, and daily inspections program.
+ Follow up and implement any site instructions made by the RE and ARE.
+ Apply and implement all quality controls and quality procedures of the site.
+ Prepare any site measurements and surveying checks needed by the RE or ARE for pipes alignments and levels.
+ Co-ordinate and co-operate with client project manager during their site inspections in the presence of the RE or ARE.
+ Assist the ARE and RE in the preparation of any correspondences in compliance with the contract documents and site requirements.
+ Where site problems are found, work with the RE or ARE to resolve them promptly.
+ Monitor the start-up, commissioning and handover of the site works. Including maintaining records of the project milestones.
+ Maintain records of materials tests performed and executed works.
+ Audit inspections for conformity to contract documents and contractor submitted plans.

+ Drainage work, traffic control, compliance with SWPPP requirements

+ Maintains office files related to the project, quantity calculations and writes daily diaries.
+ Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
+ Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work.
+ Performs labor compliance interviews and maintains as-built plans.
+ Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution.
+ Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.
+ May provide technical guidance to lower-level inspectors.
+ Coordinates work of subconsultants for surveying and material testing.
+ Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.
+ Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures.
+ Reports on installed quantities to verify applications for payment and change order work.
+ Responds to the call backs in case of emergency at the project site.
+ May administer welder qualification tests.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ At least **3 Years** Diploma/Associate Degree in Civil Engineering / Geology or related technical discipline.
+ Minimum **7 years** of related experience on **r** **oad** **works, bridges and infrastructure projects.**
+ **Have Dubai Central Laboratory Approval.**
+ Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction related processes related to area of assignment.

Job Overview:
The Materials Specialist applies their conceptual knowledge of Material Management and, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership, is responsible for solving a range of straightforward Material Management problems. They will be responsible for analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures and building knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. The Materials Specialist understands key business drivers and applies this knowledge to solve problems in straightforward situations by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment, and precedents.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with Quality Control, PME, etc.
Receive and review materials requests and prepare supporting pick tickets
Work on projects where they are assigned
Maintain materials documentation in the EDMS, iDocs
Support the materials reporting, tracking, and reconciliation process
Understand the systems and technology used in the process
Responsible for the success of their work
Complete receiving/issuing checklists and ensure proper documentation is correctly maintained
Identify OS&D (Overage, Shortage & Damages) during the receiving process
Understand contract requirements
Prepare and implement a project-specific materials management plan, including:
Key deliverables
MOPEX (Multiple Office Project Execution plan, if required
Communication strategy with other disciplines
Work in Materials Management Systems such as Smart Materials
Coordinate development of the Materials Responsibility Matrix
Coordinate development of the Requisition and Purchasing Status Report (RPSR)
Implement a materials preservation program
Assure that all major and minor equipment and bulk materials which Engineering has identified are purchased, delivered, and issued per the project schedule and maintain/report forecast dates of all items not aligned with the original plan
Schedule and chair the Project Business Team meeting driving the requisition and expediting efforts for the project
Use standard reporting tools to report quantity trending for materials to the Project Management Team
Provide forecasting/ soft allocation to discipline leads and the Project Management Team of needed material at each location necessary, including Fabrication and Construction
Establish project materials reporting tools as agreed with project management and within the guidelines of Unifi
Monitor and report the status of equipment and materials to project management
Coordinate company-owned and third-party fabrication shops either directly or with one or more Shop Coordinators
Assist in the identification and coordination of the disposition of any surplus materials including with the project home office
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain Management (or a relevant discipline) or HSD/GED/IGCSE with 3 years of relevant experience
3-6 years of relevant experience
Extensive functional, business, industry, and leadership expertise
Strong functional knowledge of Material Management Systems such as Smart Materials
Ability to generate Excel spreadsheets, graphs, and pivot tables with supporting analysis
Experience working with inventory management tools
Possess a good understanding of Material Management within the EPCI framework
