Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Soil and Material Testing Technician to perform laboratory and field testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of materials with industry standards and project specifications.

• Conduct physical and chemical testing of soil aggregates, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with ASTM, BS, and AASHTO standards.
• Collect field samples and perform on-site tests such as density compaction and moisture content.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including sieves, ovens, compression testing machines, and other instruments.
• Prepare test reports and documentation for quality control and compliance records.
• Ensure calibration and routine maintenance of lab instruments.
• Follow safety and quality assurance protocols during testing procedures.
• Support geotechnical engineers in field investigations and site sampling activities.

• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in soil and material testing, preferably in a construction or geotechnical lab environment.
• Good knowledge of international testing standards (ASTM, AASHTO, BS).
• Ability to prepare and interpret lab test reports accurately.

The candidate will employ advanced membrane fabrication techniques and characterization tools (SEM, TEM, DSC, TGA, BET, etc.) to establish fabrication-structure-property-performance relationships in novel materials for sustainable desalination and water treatment.
