Job Description

ISS International S.p.A. is looking for Oil & Gas Mechanical Maintenance Technicians (Office/Field) to be involved in a Tags Registration Project regarding Oil & Gas plants in the UAE.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Recognize installed equipment class to start its relevant data collection accordingly.
  2. Execute data collection and surveys independently without assistance.
  3. Collect required drawings and documents needed for assets registration.
  4. Extract tags from drawings such as P&IDs, SLDs, F&G Loops, etc., and organize them in Excel for individual packages.
  5. Gather essential information from Data Sheets and technical documents like VDBs, MRBs, etc., to obtain specifications and attributes.
  6. Conduct site surveys to verify physically all new equipment on-site against P&ID and coordinate with engineering for updates.
  7. Obtain manufacturer and model details from tag plates during site surveys.
  8. Identify deviations from drawings and documents observed during site surveys.
Requirements
  1. At least a Technical High School Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument, Piping, etc.)
  2. 1-2 years of experience in maintenance of Oil & Gas plants.
  3. Proficiency in Excel.

The activities are scheduled to start in July 2025, performed at our office in Abu Dhabi and at Oil & Gas plants in the UAE.

The resource will stay on-site for up to 90 consecutive days before returning to the Abu Dhabi office.

The contract duration is 12 months, with the possibility of extension for another 12 months.

The rotation will be resident with one month of leave after one year in the UAE.

The jobholder is responsible to perform mechanical maintenance work for equipment located in for the respective asset, plant, or equipment to ensure that the maintenance activity is performed safely, continuously and reliably working according to its intended purpose at a high quality level, and maintain personal tools and housekeeping at mechanical workshop, to serve its purpose according to defined KPIs, and coordinate and follow-up with contractors and other external parties, as required.

Key Accountabilities Maintenance Execution
  1. Perform the assigned jobs as per the risk assessment and comply to the ADNOC HSE Procedures.

  12. Support and participate in company On Call system design for handling unplanned shutdowns and process upsets.
  13. Operate, repair, and perform functional testing of lifting equipment, to the recognized standards.
  14. Participate in condition monitoring checks on machinery and notify any malfunctions or defects to the immediate engineer.
  15. Conduct new installations, modifications, and testing of equipment through various stages as per plan and in line with technical instructions and checks adherence to all parameters before handing over of equipment to Operations.
  16. Troubleshoot, identify, and isolate faulty components, on Rotating, and Static equipment, using manufacturers’ manuals, drawings, and diagrams.
  17. Perform troubleshooting and shutdown maintenance repair and overhaul on all rotating and static equipment.
Workshop & Spare-parts
  1. Operate and maintain the mechanical workshop by providing the necessary lubrication of the equipment, checking the gauges, maintaining the equipment and tools in good conditions as per OEMs.
  2. Maintain the necessary housekeeping in the Workplace.
  3. Comply with all HSE and fire-related rules and regulations and observe all requirements stringently.
  4. Discuss work assignment with Supervisor, examine faulty equipment to determine scope of work and obtain necessary tools and spare parts before starting the job.
  5. Identify spare parts required for maintenance work, from manufacturers’ drawings and spare parts lists.
Qualifications
  1. Diploma in Mechanical, or any equivalent technical qualifications.
  2. Experience in various mechanical equipment and their maintenance and troubleshooting.
  3. Familiar with standard plant safety procedures and maintenance of quality procedures.
  4. Effective communication and technical report writing skills in English.
  5. Minimum of 5 – 7 years of relevant experience in installation, repair, testing, and maintenance of a wide range of equipment items of production facilities in an oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
  6. Thorough knowledge of HSE requirements for field maintenance jobs.

    The Mechanical Engineer - Operations & Maintenance (O&M) is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of mechanical systems and equipment within the facility. This role involves conducting regular maintenance, troubleshooting issues, overseeing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines, technicians, and management to maintain a safe and efficient operation.

    Maintenance and Repairs:
    • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
    • Oversee the execution of repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
    Preventive Maintenance:
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability and longevity.
    • Schedule and conduct regular maintenance activities to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in an O&M role.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
    • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant tools.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
    • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
    • Capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.

    • Supports on-site the maintenance team for various activities on the shopfloor.
    • Comply with all company SHE policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
    • 0-2 years of relevant experience.
    • Knowledge of SAP Maintenance Module.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
