**POSITION SUMMARY**
Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all AV/projection/lighting/conferencing equipment, devices, and systems. Oversee the set-up of AV equipment in banquet and meeting rooms. Ensure all AV equipment is fully operational, repair or clean equipment when necessary. Label any broken equipment and communicate problems to manager/supervisor. Tape down and dress all loose wire and cable. Check delivered equipment and room set-up against Banquet Event Order. Communicate any additions or deletions to flowsheets to manager/supervisor. Assist and instruct guests/customers regarding proper usage and operation of AV equipment, up-sell different AV services, and monitor equipment operation at appropriate intervals. Break-down, remove, and secure equipment when not in use. Read, understand, and adhere to Marriott Visual Productions (MVP program) SOP book.
Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures, ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Reach, grasp, turn, manipulate, move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None

Job DescriptionThe Audio Visual Manager is responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of audio, visual, and multimedia services across the resort. This includes managing AV operations for meetings, conferences, weddings, entertainment, and lifestyle events in line with SO/ brand standards. The AV Manager leads a team of technicians, ensures seamless event execution, and maintains all technical equipment to deliver bold, stylish, and memorable experiences that define the SO/ brand within the All-Inclusive Collection.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Event Support
- Manage the setup, operation, and breakdown of audio, video, lighting, and stage equipment for all events and entertainment programs.
- Partner with the Events, Entertainment, and Recreation teams to deliver innovative and high-quality guest experiences.
- Provide technical support to clients, event planners, and internal stakeholders before and during events.
- Maintain detailed event checklists, run sheets, and ensure timely execution of AV elements.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance, inventory, and storage of AV equipment, ensuring all systems are fully operational.
- Implement preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot technical issues quickly.
- Research and recommend upgrades or new technologies to enhance the resort’s AV capabilities.
- Lead, train, and schedule a team of AV Technicians to provide professional, high-standard support.
- Foster a collaborative, guest-focused culture within the AV team.
- Provide coaching and technical training to upskill the team and maintain service excellence.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and brand standards in the handling and installation of AV equipment.
- Monitor the safe use of lighting, sound, and stage rigging during events.
- Maintain documentation of risk assessments, incident reports, and compliance checks.
Administration & Budgeting
- Manage AV department budgets, including forecasting, procurement, and cost control.
- Negotiate with external AV vendors and service providers when outsourcing is required.
- Track and report on AV expenses, usage, and performance metrics.
- Degree/diploma in Audio Visual Technology, Event Production, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in AV management in luxury hotels, resorts, or large-scale event venues.
- Strong technical expertise in audio systems, video projection, lighting design, staging, and multimedia production.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to work with guests, clients, and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Role Overview:
As an Audio Visual Manager, you will participate in the construction and maintenance of our studios. It's your job to ensure that programs are broadcast on time and of the highest quality. You'll carry out updates and repairs as well as operate and maintain the systems. The perfect candidate should be able to build studios from scratch according to the provided plans and diagrams, manage the technical support team and maintain various broadcast systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installing and testing new facilities and equipment.
- Maintaining equipment for video production, broadcast, and interactive media.
- Setting up and monitoring audio-visual links between units.
- Analysing and repairing technical faults on equipment and systems
- Minimising loss of service when equipment fails by quickly identifying and implementing alternative methods of service provision.
- Setting up and operating equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts.
- Designing and installing custom audio-visual circuits.
- Designing and manufacturing hardware and systems.
- Developing and using awareness of best workplace health and safety practices.

Requirements :
- Advanced knowledge of photography concepts like aperture, shutter speed, ISO speed, exposure, and camera lenses

- Experience with live chroma keying.
- Advanced understanding of SDI infrastructure.
- Sufficient color vision and hearing.
