Job BriefThe incumbent is responsible for driving the demand for all products assigned by reinforcing the product brand. They are also responsible for presenting Zahrawi’s products in the Hematology & Molecular Units and optimizing the business opportunities in targeted clinicians’ offices, key clinics, and hospital accounts that specialize in the area specified.
ACCOUNTABILITIESAdhere to all Zahrawi Policies & Procedures as applicable.
Business Development:
Establish professional working relationships with Health Care Providers (GE, MLP, IM, Nurse), decision-makers, support staff, and influencers within assigned customers to support using the company's products - through developing and applying clinical and business expertise and effective selling skills.
Commercial Support:
Develop and deliver a targeted sales message based on accurate clinical information, utilizing approved marketing materials and medical reprints to support the patients and discuss therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers.
Develop and implement medical education opportunities and sponsor programs to expand the knowledge of healthcare professionals. Frequently educate self on the latest information about disease states, treatments, and the changing business environment.
Demonstrate business and strategic planning skills to identify unique selling opportunities and adaptability to changing market conditions.
Spread awareness regarding our test values and advantages over other tests/methodologies to ensure the consistency of clinicians in ordering our tests/using our products and not shifting or deviating into other testing methodologies.
Working with KOLs and Policymakers to implement our products and testing methodologies in screening programs and public health policies.
Visit Clinicians and healthcare professionals from different specialties in governmental and private sectors to promote Al Zahrawi Product Portfolio from a clinical point of view.
Work on acquiring/finding new valuable leads that must have the potential to implement our instruments/tests, independent from the sales approach after finding this lead.
Working with the sales team toward increasing the sales opportunities and expanding the existing and new business.
Marketing:
Coordinating with the Marketing Department for any new materials that need to be done.
Executes marketing strategies at the local level, leveraging resources appropriately and working successfully with company team members and counterparts to share ideas and information to enhance business results.
Reports:
- Weekly Reporting to Line Manager.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science/Clinical Pharmacy.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as applicable in the healthcare market.
- Job Specific Skills: Sound technical knowledge about the human anatomy, medical field - require a good Lab/Clinical/Research knowledge, Knowledge in Microbiology, Molecular Biology & Infectious Diseases (oncology knowledge is a plus) - Excellent Interpersonal skills & English Language – Good presentation skills & negotiation skills - Good MS Office Skills.
- Additional Details: Candidate should be based in UAE & willing to transfer to company visa.

The Infectious Disease business unit is part of Abbott Rapid Molecular Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. This role requires a deep understanding of the health care industry, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders. The role develops relationships with a variety of stakeholders and health care experts, such as global partners and governmental or non-governmental organizations.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Leads efforts to define and implement medical strategies for the Infectious Disease in EMEA.
+ Creates and executes annual plan.
+ Identifies and establishes relationships with opinion leaders involved disease states or technical initiatives across the region.
+ Writes study protocols; monitors study progress; analyses results and works with investigators to publish papers. Works and publications must be accepted as medically important and useful in moving accepted science forward and/or influencing medical policy.
+ Must be recognized as a subject matter expert in field and as such collaborate with other key opinion leaders.
+ Prepares medical posters and abstracts and presents at key professional meetings in the Region.
+ Leads cross functional team involved in developing patient and physician education materials.
+ Acts as a liaison between Customers/Quality/Regulatory and technical organizations when medical issues arise.
+ Leads efforts of the Medical Affairs Managers located in EMEA Region.
+ Must comply with and enforce all Office of Ethics and Compliance guidelines.
+ As a senior member of the Medical Affairs organization, this role establishes contacts with key scientists around EMEA.
+ Provides input to the design of new products; technologies and OEM opportunities.
+ Identifies and recommends opportunity to gain additional product claims to improve medical utility.
**EDUCATION:**
+ Doctorate Degree (± 19 years)
+ Medical Doctor
**EXPERIENCE:**
+ 5-10 years product development/medical management experience.
+ 2-4 years business unit or general management experience.
+ Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.
+ Must have previously developed external relationships with key scientists or medical professionals.
+ Must have previously established and executed on Medical Affairs and/or R&D plan.
+ Industry, product, and customer knowledge required.
+ Must have strong interpersonal skills, good communication skills and medical writing skills.
+ Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
