- Performs laboratory tests which may include various assays following established procedures or protocols.
- Operates requisite laboratory equipment and instruments; records data; maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
- Uses universal / standard safety precautions to protect self and co-workers from biohazardous materials, including blood-borne pathogens.

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Clinical Genomics team. This role involves performing a range of laboratory procedures to support the analysis of clinical specimens, under the supervision of the Genomics Laboratory Supervisor. The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation, processing, and analysis of samples using molecular biology and genomic techniques, helping to ensure timely and accurate test results.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to laboratory policies and comply with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Perform manual and automated extraction and purification of DNA/RNA from clinical specimens (e.g., blood, tissue, bone marrow).
- Prepare DNA libraries and utilize sequencing platforms for basic genomic analysis.
- Operate and troubleshoot Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) equipment.
- Conduct PCR, Sanger sequencing, and MLPA testing.
- Perform QA/QC procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Participate in validation activities, instrument setup, and daily lab operations.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with CAP/ISO standards in coordination with the quality department.
- Stay current with relevant scientific literature and techniques in clinical genomics.
- Support the development and implementation of next-generation sequencing methods and workflows.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with GCLP and internal SOPs.
- Communicate effectively within the lab team and with the line manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory, including at least 1 year in molecular biology or genomics.
- Hands-on experience with NGS and/or Microarray techniques.
- Experience working in a CAP or ISO15189-accredited laboratory.
- DOH/DHA license or eligibility.
- Proficiency with automated laboratory systems.
- Fluent in English.

Marketing:
- Coordinating with the Marketing Department for any new materials that need to be done.
- Executes marketing strategies at the local level, leveraging resources appropriately and working successfully with company team members and counterparts to share ideas and information to enhance business results.
Reports:

Requirements
- Education: Bachelors Degree in in Pharmaceutical Science/Clinical Pharmacy
- Experience: 2+ years of experience as applicable in healthcare market. (Experience related to sales, medical liaison is relevant)
- Job Specific Skills:
- Sound technical knowledge about the human anatomy, medical field - require a good Lab/Clinical/Research knowledge.
