Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the escalation point for security issues within the infrastructure.
  2. Complete documentation actions in support of event activities, maintenance, and supply action.
  3. Monitor and maintain the network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPNs, routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
  4. Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues, providing timely and effective resolutions to minimize system downtime.
  5. Perform network performance analysis and implement necessary adjustments to optimize efficiency.
  6. Ensure all network equipment is up-to-date with the latest firmware and patches.
  7. Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and intrusion detection systems.
  8. Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential security threats, taking appropriate action when necessary.
  9. Provide Level 2/3 support to end-users, addressing network-related issues and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  10. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  11. Document network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  12. Recommend and implement improvements to network infrastructure to enhance reliability, performance, and security.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  2. Experience: 1-2+ years of experience in network support, administration, or a related role.

Technical Skills:

  4. Producing documentation/communications of a high quality that are clear and easily understood.
  5. Ensure all aspect of the projects are implemented & maintained efficiently with minimal disruption to the customer base.
  6. Identifying areas of potential service improvement and efficiencies.
  7. CCNA, CCNP Certifications (if any)
