POSITION SUMMARY
The candidate is responsible for the teaching of Artificial Intelligence units in line with the academic standards offered across foundation to postgraduate courses at Curtin Dubai. The candidate is expected to have an approach to teaching that is student-centred and will be responsible for conducting tutorials, grading and other immersive learning experiences in accordance with established course outlines and lesson plans, besides maintaining student class attendance records and being available during student consultation hours. RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching and Learning:
• Review and contextualise subject material received from Perth.
• Deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, and field excursions.
• Administer and grade exams, quizzes, assignments, and projects.
• Work closely with the Unit Coordinators in Perth and Head of School in Dubai to ensure cohesive unit delivery and alignment with overall program objectives.
• Participate in regular meetings and discussions with the Unit Coordinator in Perth and Head of School in Dubai to review unit content, teaching strategies, and unit deliverables.

• Work with internal and external stakeholders in Dubai. QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• An earned PhD in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in modern AI development and deployment environments, including Docker, Kubernetes, JAX, and the Google AI Suite, alongside established tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and scikit-learn.
• Experienced in teaching units such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, and Pattern Recognition, among others.
• Proven ability to teach and design courses that effectively combine AI theory with practical applications.
• Ability to collaborate with industry partners and contribute to innovation and applied research
• Demonstrated excellence in curriculum development and assessment of learning outcomes

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design backend systems and APIs that meet rigorous production standards and support future growth.
• Collaborate with data scientists to preprocess and analyze data.
• Optimize AI models for performance and scalability.
• Monitor and maintain AI systems in production.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and the latest best practices in AI, machine learning, and LLM application development.
• Deploy and manage AI models using OCI services (a plus).

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python.
• Experience with Agentic RAG.
• Experience with vector databases & SaaS vector DBs (e.g., FAISS, Weaviate, Pinecone, Qdrant).
• Experience with embedding approaches and models (e.g., text-embedding-3-large, all-mpnet-base-v2).
• Experience with one or more open-source AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack, CrewAI, AutoGen, etc.).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with deploying AI models using OCI services.

Job Title - AI Governance Lead

Exp Range – 10 Years

Job Description -

• At least 10 years of experience in technology or financial services, with a minimum of 3 years in a risk or governance role
• Technical Literacy and AI Fluency: Understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, data science, ML ops, Gen AI and AI frameworks
• Ethical AI Leadership: Commitment to responsible AI practices, ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in leveraging data analytics to inform governance decisions and policies
• Create a Responsible AI Plan with a supporting benefits realization plan.
• Define AI current state assessment framework with periodic maturity checkpoints.
• Develop and maintain Responsible AI policies, standards, and procedures.
• Report to the AI Council and Focus Group forums on key activities, metrics, and insights.
• Conduct AI Safety and Ethics uplift initiatives.
• Establish a peer-review protocol to ensure that all technical documentation is reviewed.
• Ensure that all details of AI models and solutions are recorded in a centralized AI Inventory and Service Catalog
• Develop an AI Risk Management Framework and oversee periodic risk assessments.
• Create and distribute the AI Acceptable Use Guide.
