Job Description
Hey we're Squirrel
We're building the world's best financial literacy platform for students- turning school life into a real-world economy where students earn, save, spend, and invest money that actually matters.
We're working with schools, governments, and corporates across the region, and driving the financial literacy revolution. But we need someone brilliant to help us deliver on all fronts.
The Role: Operations Lead (aka:the engine behind great delivery)
We're looking for someone highly organised, detail-obsessed, startup-loving, and up for being a key figure in building this business. You'll be part project manager, part operations guru, part right hand to the founder.
You'll work across proposals, pitch decks, delivery plans, CRM systems, client relationships, internal ops, and processes- helping keep this rocketship heading in the right direction. If you love checklists, structure, systems, and seeing things through from idea to done, this might just be your dream role.
This isn't a 'stay in your lane' kind of job. You'll be across the whole business building systems, improving delivery, solving problems, and helping us scale.
Responsibilities
Project & Delivery Management
- Own timelines, to-do lists, and milestones across our biggest projects
- Keep teams aligned and things moving from client onboarding to school launches
- Track KPIs and make sure nothing falls through the cracks
Builds Systems & Processes
- Set up internal workflows, SOPs, dashboards, and docs that actually work
- Spot inefficiencies and fix them before they become problems
- Create playbooks we can scale with
Proposals, Decks and Docs
- Co-write proposals, pitch decks and reports with the team
- Make sure what we send out is quality
- Bring structure to chaos when ideas are flying around
Client Experience & CRM
- Manage our CRM (Zoho) and ensure client data, tasks and automations are tight
- Track lead journeys and client touchpoints
- Help our partners feel confident, looked after, and excited to work with us
Communication & Coordination
- Be the calm voice and sharp brain in a fast-moving team
- Write follow-up emails, internal updates, and meeting notes that keep everyone clear
- Represent Squirrel with professionalism and warmth in client calls
Strategy & Support
- Join high-level conversations about how we grow and what we prioritise
- Help us track performance, meet KPIs and improve execution
- Be the person the founder can count on to turn ideas into outcomes
Who you are:
- You thrive in the fast pace (and occasional chaos) of startup life and wouldn't have it any other way.
- You're a team player who supports others, shares credit, and gets stuck in wherever needed.
- You love building systems that make things smoother, faster, and more scalable.
- You have high standards and care deeply about the quality of everything you produce proposals, pitch decks, internal docs, all of it.
- You spot the details others miss (yes, the double space and the slightly misaligned heading bother you too).
- You get things done. You follow through, stay on top of priorities, and don't let balls drop.
- You're a clear communicator-written, verbal, in person, on Slack, or in a deck.
- You're confident in meetings, good with clients, and calm under pressure.
- Most of all, you're passionate about our mission- and excited to help build something that matters.
Qualifications
- We're not fussed about your degree- we're looking for rockstars at what they do and are reliable, and committed.
- You have
2–5 years
of experience in operations, project management, consulting, or startup roles. - You're
based in the UAE
and ready to work closely with our team in Abu Dhabi
